I called because the vehicle was listed as a Mazda6 I sport (I-4 cylinder motor), The vehicle appeared to me to be the s sport (V-6 cylinder motor). I was hoping for it to be the V6. When i called and voiced my concerns about this they assured me that it was not a v6 that it was an I4. I decided to go look at the vehicle anyway. When I arrived I noticed that the side of the vehicle had a V6 badge on it and when i popped the hood...sure enough 3.0L v6 motor. (would it have really been too much effort to actually look?) Test drive went great, I really enjoyed the car and the vehicle ran and handled great. The car was super clean and the only things i noticed wrong with it was it didn't have a radio antenna (radio didn't work) and the ceiling liner was falling down. They said that would have an antenna installed but they couldn't do anything about the liner. Now to the interesting part...So i sat down with the sales person and began discussing pricing. Now to my understanding this vehicle was $4990 and came with a 6month/6000miles powertrain and lifetime engine warranty. I asked multiple times while on the test drive if this $4990 price included what they call the "gold check" and i was assured that yes it was included in the price. I offered $3000 down and was willing to finance the remainder ($1990). now i have less than perfect credit so I was expecting a high interest rate, but what they came back with was the most ridiculous astronomical figure I've ever seen. With $3000 down and a 36 month loan my monthly payments would have been $239/month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He at this point turns the paper to me and tells me to sign it. I refuse and voice my concerns. He than goes and gets his manager to explain the figures to me. As it turned out the "gold check", which i asked multiple times if that was included in the internet price of $4990 and was assured that it was, Actually was and additional $990 and that the increase on the car price was due to my credit score. They total price of the vehicle was actually $6800 and I would have ended up paying $11,604 in total after financing. I told him that this was unexceptionable and not even close to what it should be. They told me to hold on while they try another lender. When they return they tell me that with $2000 down and $5000 financed for 36months my monthly payments would be $183/month. This was a MUCH more reasonable rate but still more than I wanted to spend so offered to pay in cash and asked what was the best price they could do for me. At this point I had to return to work so I offered to call them later. When I was done work I gave them a call, after thinking for a while, and offered them $5000 cash for the vehicle with none of their warranties /gold check. under the condition that I'd be able to take it to my personal mechanic and have it looked at prior to purchasing (which I and my family have done with every vehicle we have ever purchased). I was told that I would not be able to have the vehicle looked at by my mechanic without purchasing the vehicle and that they will not offer a return policy. The sales men spent about 20minutes explaining to me that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and that they stand by the cars they sold and they can assure me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle ( just liked they "assured" me that it was a 4 cylinder lol). The best price they were able to offer me was $5800 (internet price for this was $4990...). This price was with no warranties. i was told that because the car had been detailed and state inspection. (at any other dealership this has been offered as a courtesy to the costumer not at an additional $810). And I would not be able to take the car to my mechanic prior to purchasing. Needless to say I did not purchase this vehicle and I will not be purchasing a car from this dealership. Below is a link to the vehicle I was looking to purchase. I would post pictures of the ridiculous numbers they gave me for financing but I don't think I can do that on here. If anyone would like to see them just send me a request. http://www.colonialhyundaipa.com/VehicleDetails/used-2005-Mazda-Mazda6-i_Sport_Sedan_4D-Downingtown-PA/2269114843 More
When I originally bought my car, the experience was ok. The car was a good deal with "Internet pricing", but the workers there were saying that it must have been a mistake and tried selling me other cars. The car was a good deal with "Internet pricing", but the workers there were saying that it must have been a mistake and tried selling me other cars. I ended getting the Internet price for the car + $500...still a better deal than anywhere else I had seen. I received an "invitation" to get an upgrade on my car for less than I was currently paying *along* with a check for over $13K for my current car (2011 Sonata) along w/ their 40% Black Friday sale. Sounded fishy, but I thought I would be able to get a good deal for an upgrade...I was wrong. After 3 hours of waiting. they said for an "upgrade" they could give me a deal at $380 / month (2.5% APR) for 72 months ($27,360 total)! That's the same price as just buying the car without any "deals" and them getting my car for free. I will not waste anymore of my time dealing with the crooked ways of this dealership and I'll be sure to advise others not to as well. *Edit* : After getting a xx reply from the dealership, furthering the fact that they were pulling a "bait-n-switch" tactic, I wanted to add that not only did I wait 3 hours before anybody finally conversed with me, but I told them about my expectations from the beginning. Instead of them telling me they couldn't help me, they kept leading me on by telling me that they could definitely work something out and wasting more of our time even taking us for a test drive and having me wait around while they were "getting things together". Also to note, they were well aware of my car details as I had service done on my car a few months ago. More

Prior to the service she reviewed the items included as well as a few optional service upgrades that I accepted. We also discussed an issue with my cruise control system. The appoint date arrived and I dropped off the car early in the AM. Donna inspected the car and I was provided a pre-arranged loaner, which was a new Elantra. Off I went immediatly pleased with the appearance, functionality & operation of the Elantra. As the day progressed I found myself more and more impressed with everthing about that car. I was called by Donna mid-afternoon and informed that my car was ready. Upon arrival Donna & I reviewed the work order and I was informed that all went as scheduled including the check of my cruise control which turned out to require a replacement sensor which I was happy to hear was 100% covered under my extended 100k warrenty minus the $50 deductable required by my plan. The car had been washed and was ready to go. On the drive home, I couldn't believe how great the engine & trans performed! The new sensor and trans fluid flush really did the trick, producing a 'buttery' shift pattern! Another wonderful experience at Colonial and confirmation once again, of the value enhancement, derived from allowing the dealership to perform any and all needed service & warraanty work from the day you buy, until the day you sell! I thoroughly enjoy driving my car and honestly believe that everyone I have ever came into contact with at Colonial, beginning with the phone girls, all through sales & service and even including the detail guys, have 'always' performed thier jobs with an upbeat, positive and very pleasant, customer orientated approach! *Rant and warning to my friends in the market for a car* Do not buy from Colonial Hyundai of Downington. They are shady characters. This may show how naive and gullible I am but want to get this warning out Do not buy from Colonial Hyundai of Downington. They are shady characters. This may show how naive and gullible I am but want to get this warning out. Here is what happened…. I went to Colonial to look at a ’01 Toyota Rav4. I did not think very much of it so I asked what else they had in the price and mileage range. They said they had a ’04 Hyundai Santa Fe. I liked it a lot in the test drive. So we started to negotiate. He came back with a price of $7,500 that he had crossed out and was offering $6,500. Told him it was more than I wanted to pay for it and he dropped it down to $6,000. I counter offered with $5,800. He went and spoke to his manager who returned with him. The manager stated that they price aggressively and were firm at the $6,000. I stuck to my price and the manager claimed to need to talk to the owner. The $5,800 was agreed on and we started the paperwork. While that took place Angie suggested I check out the website to see how good the deal was. I find the car listed at $4,990 (Pre-auction price) and in small print there is a $990 fee ($5,980). Because I didn’t have this information at the start of negotiation they took advantage. The price we settled on was less that the asking price and blue book value but after the unethical and just wrong in principle dealings I no longer wanted to purchase a vehicle from them. Friends, please do not buy from Colonial Hyundai of Downington. Something else I learned is to know all the information before negotiations start. I was livid and Angie suggested I pull over leaving there to calm myself. More

I made an offer on a nice used car with Colonial. Oddly, they said they would get back to me in 48 hours. Do you call that good customer service? They got back to me in only 45 hours and told me the car they said they would get back to me in 48 hours. Do you call that good customer service? They got back to me in only 45 hours and told me the car had sold on the day I made an offer. What kind of good sales manager would call that good customer service? Isn t it pretty lousy? More
This dealership was the worst I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. From the minute I walked in I felt as though they did not think I was capable of purchasing a car. They made me file out fin displeasure of visiting. From the minute I walked in I felt as though they did not think I was capable of purchasing a car. They made me file out financing information before I could even see the car I was interested in. Needless to say I did not purchase from this dealer. I purchased a used 2009 Sonata. My sales person, Michael Guido, was great. However, when it came to signing the paperwork, I learned that the 60,000 miles or 5 year warranty wasn't from the time of purchas Guido, was great. However, when it came to signing the paperwork, I learned that the 60,000 miles or 5 year warranty wasn't from the time of purchase as I understood from the manager, Michael Lutman. The finance person, Vince, spent 20 minutes explaining the Hyundai Protection Plan, which was a warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles. He recalculated my monthly loan payments 3 times and miraculously was able to lower my finance rate by 1% if I took the Plan. I didn't in hopes that the Hyundai name and the reputation of Colonial Hyundai matters and I won't need the Plan which was going to cost another $1000. Stay tuned. More
