I bought a Honda Insight EX 2011 in July when there was a shortage due to the tsunami in Japan. Despite the shortage, Colonial Honda offered the car at a very reasonable price. I went in for a new car or lease and the salesman, John W., picked me up right at the door. Got a good understanding of what we were looking for and our limitation. The salesman seemed knowledge in the cars, however whenever ask any question about financing or sells price the answer was "I'm just telling you what they tell me." And as I listened to other salesman around, it seemed to be the reply that they all gave "I don't know, I just fill out paperwork." This makes me feel that I was talking to a puppet and in time I was dealing directly with Kevin because he could answer my questions. So we finially agreed on moving forward and Kevin stated that at most the car would be $285, and we would aim for $253 if credit allowed. I left, they ran my credit and I came back the next day and sit down with bold finance guy (can't rememeber his name). He nicely told me that the car would be $327 a month, and that number was not what Kevin stated the day before, so I questioned it. And finance guy relied with "this is the number." overall he didn't really care about what was promised/agreed to the day prior. After afew minutes of going back and forth with him and he did nothing for me. I walked out and spoke loudly at John so Kevin would come over and he did and he took me into the office and we sit down and reworked the numbers. I left in the end, came back the next day with more down and we closed the deal, and Stan stayed late 30 minutes to finish the paperwork, very nice of him. Overall, it seems that noone at the dealer can think for themselves but Kevin. I was told somethings and those things didn't happen. Also I was never called to let me know that the credit run was done, I had to hunt them down on that. The delivery of the car went well. John walked us through the manuals, and basic functionally of the car. He stood in the rain with us and walked us around the car. overall the delivery was a A-, I did ask how you check the windshield fluid and he told me that you can't and that he was told that its full so it must be, however I couldn't find a way to verify that and he did nothing to verify it too. The whole process was mainly painless. The dealership did work hard to get me into my budget and it showed. However, I feel that the rest of the stuff may need some training in what they are briefing and not just say that they are puppets. More

Rob from the beginning was professional, non-pressuring and exhibited an excellent knowledge of the vehicle we were considering, a 2011 Honda Pilot. He answered our many questions in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Kevin Lima the Sales Manager provided us with the price quotes we requested for both our trade and the Pilot with a no hassle approach, which having purchased many new vehicles before was appreciated. Being a comparitive shopper, it was both Rob and Kevin's presentation, their professional approach and Colonials ability to provide us with the best deal that led us to purchasing our new 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L from them. Rob was excellent in his follow through after our purchase, in letting us know the vehicle was located, that our accessories were installed, going over the vehicle at time of pick up from "head to toe" and has called us to answered any questions we may have had after taking posession of our new Pilot. To sum up my experience in one word - WOW! I have purchased a lot of cars in my day and also have helped numerous people in their car buying negotiations. All I have to say is Colonial Honda is the most ethical, fair, and easiest dealer to work with I have ever experienced!! I drove from 3 hours away in New York because all of the dealers in my area were either way overpriced on the car I was interested in, or were not offering anywhere near fair value for my trade (if you want to read about a truly horrifying experience please see my review of DCH Kay Honda in Eatontown, NJ). I decided to use the www.truecar.com website using my parents zip code in Rhode Island to see what pricing was like in a different area of the country on the Odyssey EXL-RES I was interested in. I was immediately contacted by Sean Connors in the internet sales department at Colonial. He was offering a fair price on the car I was purchasing and even gave me a fair value for my trade without having seen it! Of course this was predicated on my description of the vehicle being accurate. Once we agreed to a deal I worked with Joe Zekus the rest of the way through the transaction. I have to say that on my ride up to Colonial I was concerned that they would not live up to the deal we agreed to or would try some tricks once I was there. I shouldn't have worried at all. Upon arrival Joe took me out to show me the new car and evaluated my trade while they prepared the paperwork. After about 45 minutes, I signed the necessary documents, Joe gave me the full run down on the Odyssey and even set up my phone for bluetooth. I was on my way home within an hour. It was awesome! No games, no gimmicks, no upsale in the finance department. I was truly amazed. All in all I saved at least $2,500 by going to Colonial and I absolutely love the new car. When I am in the market for another Honda I will call Colonial first because they made what is typically a really stressful buying experience pleasant and easy. I have already recommended them to my parents and will continue to recommend to anyone locally that is willing to take a drive. THANKS JOE AND SEAN - you guys are the best! More

My grandfather drove a honda accord for nearly 30 years buying a new one every three years and I am confident in saying that my wife and I will be using Colonial Honda again in the future. Brian was knowledgeable and honest. He was able to answer most of our questions about the various cars and if we asked something about the car that he didn't know he told us he didn't know. He did not try to convince us or persuade us but just tried to help us find something that fit our needs. He treated us with respect and we did not feel pressured -- either deciding about a model, or settling on a price. I generally dislike buying cars but I would buy one from him again. More
