Working with Greg Dawson and Chris Raposo at Colonial Honda was probably the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had. Having to search for/buy a new or used car was always a painful experience; the going back and forth on price, waiting around and trying to be persuaded to buy something additional we didn't want. Colonial Honda was a pleasure to work with. We searched on-line and with other dealers for about a week when we finally spotted what appeared to be a great deal on a 2008 Accord EX-L -- and it was! I spoke with Greg on the phone on a Thursday morning, went and looked at the car that same day after work and went back on Saturday with my husband. They let us take the car out for a few hours -- Greg knew we wanted our own mechanic to check it out and he gave the car two thumbs up. We called Greg from the road to let him know we were on our way back and we wanted the car -- Greg got all the paperwork prepped before we got back there so all we had to do was sit with Chris Raposo to go through financing, etc. Even though we were preapproved for financing, they got us even better financing. Chris was quick without rushing us, offered additional services (without pushing anything on us) and knowledgeable. The service people washed, simonized and fixed one minor bumper clip while we did the financing and we were on our way in our new Accord. Greg and Chris were friendly, neither pressured us in any way and they listened to what WE wanted. We were very, very happy with the entire transaction and can't say enough about this positive experience. More

So when I was searching for a vehicle for my girlfriend I was in talks with all the honda dealerships in the area (silko, boch, herb chambers, etc) other than colonial, just for the fact that my perception was that it was just barrys with a new name. I was real close to purchasing with silko, but they were starting to rub me the wrong way. It was then I heard from a friend to "call colonial and they will take care of you". So on a whim we called colonial and got in touch with Thomas Kerr, and then within a couple of days of searching for a Alibaster Silver SE model without luck, we decided on a EX model. The whole experience with Tom was very easy and painless. Bottom line is my girlfriend is very happy with her CRV. So if she is happy, I am happy. In fact, after this deal was penned, I started work on a deal with Tom for a car for myself. Look for that review later on this week, because I just picked up my '11 accord coupe yesterday. More
My husband and I had spent the weekend going to 4 different dealerships on the Cape. Our 'last' stop was off Cape @ Colonial Honda in Dartmouth. Most of the dealerships we walked in, there wasn't alot of 'activity' . Maybe 3 or 4 customers. The minute we walked into Colonial, the energy was completely different... a bustle of activity, and alot of potential clients ...LOTS going on ! Sean met with us, we test drove 1 car. He was amazingly knowledgeable about the Civic. Not one other sales managers in any of the other dealerships bothered to open up the hood and explain the motor, and the safety features like Sean did. He really made us feel confident that we were buying the right car for our family of 4. The business manager made the financing part of it a breeze! The pricing and value was the best by far. Sean's follow up after we got the car home was excellent! He has called us 3x to make sure we are satisfied. We have already recommended Sean and Colonial to our friends. You won't be disappointed. It was well worth the hour drive 'off' cape - no question! More
As a first time car buyer, I went to Colonial Honda of Dartmouth and worked with Robert. We currently have 2 large luxury vehicles and needed to find a more fuel efficient vehicle. Well enough of why we were looking and more on once we found Colonial Honda - we were impressed from the start with Greg Dawson who was our initial contact. We have purchased many new vehicles over the years so we feel we know the difference between a person just trying to sell a car and a person who truly cares that we get the vehicle that will best suit our current needs. From the moment we first sat down with Greg Dawson as well as test drove a car with him we felt comfortable. I should also mention that during our meeting and test drive we had our nephew with us who is autistic and speaks only a few words which he repeated many times. Greg was wonderful with Joseph and quite understanding and considerate of his needs during the process of helping us find and purchase a new Honda Accord (A true testament to his people skills as well as business and sales skills). We will definitely recommend Greg Dawson to family and friends, actually we already have told people of the quality of service Greg provided as well as the overall feel for the way Colonial Honda does business. We have one other person who we dealt with personally who i feels needs to be commended and his name is Paul Barton. Paul Barton assisted us in the financing and paperwork involved in purchasing our new vehicle (and again i feel I need to mention that my nephew who is autistic was in the room as we finalized this transaction and at this point we obviously had been at the dealership for a period of time and Joseph my nephew was getting quite tired) however, Paul was wonderful with Joseph also. Paul made the final process a comfortable experience as well as a smooth business transaction. Our overall experience was a FIVE and believe me if it was not i would have taken this opportunity to tell. I give Greg Dawson and Paul Barton both FIVE for the service they provided us as well as the kindness they showed to My husband and I as well as our nephew Joseph. We are writing this letter as our way of expressing our overall satisfaction with Greg Dawson, Paul Barton and Colonial Honda of Dartmouth. Buying a car is not easy. But Joe Zekus provided me with lots of information and gave me time to consider the many options available. Joe Almeida, manager, stepped in at one point and went the extra mile in helping me through a glitch that was generated at my end. Everyone I interacted with was lovely. People couldn't have been nicer. I recommend all three of these people and their organization. More
My wife and I looked at a minivan at Colonial last year and were impressed with the salesperson we worked with. He didn't pressure us to buy when we weren't ready and didn't try to push us to buy a more e and were impressed with the salesperson we worked with. We didn't end up buying the minivan, but I returned to Colonial a few weeks ago to buy a new Honda Fit. I worked with a different sales person this time, but found the experience similar. George didn't try to pressure me into the sale or into a more expensive model than I wanted. When we were signing the paperwork, they told me about all the extras, like the extended warranty and Scotchguard, but they didn't pressure me when I didn't want them. The price on the car was good and they gave me more than double what my trade in was worth. When I picked up the car I was very disappointed to find that it didn't come with car mats. George chased me out to the car as I was leaving and told me he had talked to the manager and arranged for me to get the car mats thrown in. I'm very happy with the experiences I've had with Colonial. More
