Hello, I just received word of your unsatisfactory experience here at Colonial Honda and I would like to do what I can to make things right. Unfortunately, automobile negotiation is not a pleasant experience for either party - and I know we probably could have done something better to make it less painful. However, trade-in values and such are always a sticky subject as I totally understand that every customer would like to get as much as they possibly can/feel their vehicle is worth. But trade-in values are a subjective number as the dealer is forced to sell them on the open market where consumers are more educated than ever and price competition is more fierce than ever before - driving both sale price and trade-in margins lower than ever. As far as the condition and delay of your vehicle, this is completely inexcusable. There is no reason to take delivery of a dirty vehicle. I try to make myself available to every customer via follow-up emails, and clear links to reach me on the website. I take the time to personally respond to every customer who posts a review. I read your review of our business last night, and I feel it necessary to write you. Your experience here at Colonial Honda is *NOT* how I want my business run. I sincerely do everything I can every day to try and take care of customers and preserve our company’s good name. I do not condone, nor allow the practice of pushing customers out over their 30 day state warranty to get out of the responsibility of fixing an obvious repair – safety or non-safety. Unfortunately, I am not involved in every transaction – but I do preach this mission statement to every employee throughout the course of business. I try to make myself very available via follow-up emails to our customers after the purchase, as well as having a direct link off our website. I wish I would have heard of your problem sooner. I want to fix this for you right away at no charge. You are 100% right in everything you stated – except that this is how we want to run our business. This is not how I want to run things. We sell approximately 2,000 vehicles per year, and I assure you the 5-10 bad experiences per year are few and far between.
