My experience with the service department at College Park Hyundai has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. After keeping my 2020 Hyundai Sonata at the dealership since October, I was finally informed that the vehicle was ready for pickup. I paid approximately $3,000 for the repairs and inspected the car before leaving. Immediately, I noticed the interior was dirty, with leaves accumulated on the driver’s seat and floor, indicating the vehicle had been sitting unattended for a long period. I also noticed the exhaust was hanging, which was not how the vehicle was originally dropped off. Within less than five minutes of driving, the car began overheating and smoking. I pulled over, opened the hood, and discovered: No coolant in the system Oil sitting on top of the valve cover No heat inside the vehicle Due to the safety risk, I immediately returned the vehicle to the dealership. This situation is unacceptable. After months of waiting and thousands of dollars paid, the vehicle was returned in worse and unsafe condition. On top of that, earlier interactions with staff were dismissive and unprofessional when I asked basic questions about pricing and repairs. I expected professionalism, quality workmanship, and basic safety checks—none of which were met. I would not recommend this service department based on my experience. More

I had a great experience here. Robert was knowledgeable, upfront about pricing, and didn’t try to upsell unnecessary repairs. We’ve been coming here for 20 yrs. , mainly b/c of the warranties. We received an appointment the same day & even moved it up the same day due to running late. The service took ~ a , mainly b/c of the warranties. We received an appointment the same day & even moved it up the same day due to running late. The service took ~ an hour longer than anticipated, & we didn’t realize we had to respond to the report, so was there ~30 mins. longer. On the other hand, the price was ~$20-30 lower than anticipated; and the service person re-inflated all of the tires vs. just the one (1) w/the warning notice. We’re not sure why the multi-point inspection report doesn’t list the needed repairs based on the car; rather, it lists such based on what work was done @ the dealership although we brought the vehicle there for an inspection. This is the 2nd this has happened - Hoping future reports will be more accurate! More
