They wouldn't touch it. 3 months of complaining they they had the Subaru rep look at and he agreed to have it painting. Took them 7 months to finally get it it. By then the metal was rusting. They just painted over it and must of clear coated the car out side. Stones all thew the clear coat. Traded car2 days after I got it back. Will NEVER go to them for anything and will turn as many people away if I can help it. Total waste of time and money. More
Very disappointed with Cole & Burd in Mansfield, PA. I bought a Subaru Baja in Feb. 2012 and was told up front that is had a used transmission put in it. I was fine with this and bought the car anyways, I bought a Subaru Baja in Feb. 2012 and was told up front that is had a used transmission put in it. I was fine with this and bought the car anyways, thinking that Cole & Burd, being a known automotive place in the area, knew what they were doing when the switched out the transmission. However, when I took the Subaru to a mechanic two weeks after making the purchase (the soonest that I could get it in) to make sure it was in working order the mechanic found a transmission seal to be leaking. I called Cole & Burd and asked what they could do or if they would take the car back seeing as though I have not had this vehicle more than two weeks. I was told at first that they would do nothing for this problem since I bought this car used with no long term warranty. Then they told me that they'd pay 50% of the bill and I would have to pay the other 50%. This sounded to me like a pretty bad option when they were the ones to make the mistake in fixing the Subaru in the first place, and also how am I to know that they are straight forward in the cost of the repair and not just jacking up the price so that in the end they get what they wanted, that I would pay the whole cost of the repair job. I feel that you Cole & Burd should have stood by their used vehicles and fixed the mistake that they made. I’ve spoken with many mechanics and have been told the same answer; a seal would not go bad just by driving it two weeks, that it either it was broke when they put it in or that they nicked the seal when the put in the replacement transmission. I now have to pay to fix this problem on my own because Cole & Burd does not stand behind their work or admit fault when they have messed up. It is very disappointing! More
Took a vehilcle in on Nov 10th, 2011. We got the pickup back Nov 15th and spent a little over $2,000.00 for the repairs. Drove it a couple of weeks and had to take it back to the dealership on Dec 8th. The back Nov 15th and spent a little over $2,000.00 for the repairs. Drove it a couple of weeks and had to take it back to the dealership on Dec 8th. They had it until Jan 26th, 2012 when we paid them another $4,720 bucks. Drove it approximately 3 miles and had to have it towed back to them. We asked that they just fix the problem that we already paid for but apparently, the cost will be on us again and they won’t touch it until we agree. I do not see any invoice number but maybe the Vin will help. Vin#: 1FTSX21R38ED31411. We are $6,720.00 and approx 2 months into this vehicle with this dealership and we still do not have a vehicle. I would appreciate somekind of response. mlamborn@broncoservices.com More
