The attendan Recently, my wife and I purchased a vehicle from Colandrea. We were immediately impressed when we were met at the lot by an attendant. The attendant was extremely courteous and guided us throughout the entire process with a high degree of patience and professionalism, needed due to our extensive line of questions. He showed us a great number of cars as we continued changing our minds, but he never showed impatience, and his level of customer service remained very high. The attendant name is James Rabar, and we really appreciate his treatment and courtesy to us. It's people like James that makes customers come back and refer customers to your dealer. We also had a short time with the CEO of the dealer, who was also very professional and kind. The only regret we have is that our trade in was not accepted (it was our fault; we did not disclosed it until after the deal was done). We are 100% satisfied with James service, and pray that Colandrea's service will continue throughout the ownership with the vehicle. Thank you, James. You really made Colandrea look good! Of all the auto dealers and repair shops I've dealt with over my 48 years of driving, I rate Colandrea #1 among all of them. I got really great deals on all three autos I purchased there, and more importantly, the after-sale service and maintenance has been second to none. They recently gave their service waiting area a Major Makeover -and turned into a luxurious Customer Lounge Area unlike anything I've ever seen in an auto dealership. My older son bought his first car from Colandrea - a Beautiful Candy Apple Red 2009 Pontiac G8 GT - one of the last great Pontiacs, and one of his most prized possessions - often displayed at the Car Shows at the Bear Mountain Inn. The Colandrea Service Team has been keeping it running like brand new - and like all the cars we've had serviced there - also looking like brand new, with the wash and shin they include with their service. Customer satisfaction is clearly in the forefront of everything they do, and that's why when I'm ready to buy my next car - I'll be visiting with one of their friendly no-pressure sales pros once again, for yet another great car-buying - and - car-ownership experience. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY! AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! I was looking to trade in my Hummer H2, so I decided to stop by Colandrea Buick-GMC. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by Floyd. He I was looking to trade in my Hummer H2, so I decided to stop by Colandrea Buick-GMC. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by Floyd. He was very professional, extremely friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about the vehicles on the lot. I was able to test drive a couple of trucks and I decided to go with the 2015 ACADIA SLT. Floyd then introduced to me to his sales manger Doug who went above and beyond to get me into the vehicle of my choice for a great price. To make a long story short, they took my trade in (Hummer H2) for a good price and got me into a new GMC truck in less than 24 hours. I want to thank Floyd and Doug for outstanding customer service. Phenomenal is an understatement After driving off the dealer lot Friday evening, I was thinking how to write this review. If I could use all the words humanly possible to describe th After driving off the dealer lot Friday evening, I was thinking how to write this review. If I could use all the words humanly possible to describe this dealership; I would not have enough space or time. Frankly speaking, by the time I made it to Colandrea, I was so burnt out from speaking and test driving cars that I had very little hope of being interested in anything they had to offer. Not to mention, the thought of speaking with another pushy sales person who only cared about their sales and not the actual customer; the human being. Before I made it to the entrance of the shop, I was warmly greeted by Jeff Zamler. Very calm demeanor and soft approach, which was refreshing considering the other dealers I visited. Immediately, I asked to test drive a VW Passat, which he was very prompt on. Took it for a drive but it didn't WOW me. He inquired about my interests and sought out what I was looking for in a dependable vehicle. Also, we discussed the payments I was looking for. I had to be realistic as possible. Got back to the lot and he suggested I test drive a 2011 GMC Terrain. Sure, why not? Drove it and liked it. We talked more about the car and I wasn't really in love with it. Now, Doug Bell (sales manager) entered the conversation and genuinely wanted me to LOVE the car before really putting forth my application. Between the two of them, they gave me all information humanly possible about the car and reasons why to love it. Still, I said, "let me think" and I left finding myself at two more dealers. Two more dealers; two more attitudes; two more aggressive approaches; and two more sales persons ready to take my credit card rather than to shake my hand and discuss the options. Needless to say, I left and didn't go back to them. By the end of the night, I found myself back at Colandrea, frustrated and tired. By this time, my hopes of even getting the application done was out of mind. Not once did they give me an attitude or negative reaction to anything I said before, during, or after the transaction. Surely, I was not a bundle of good news. I was very open about what my situation was like and what they were potentially going to deal with. Doug Bell and Jeff Zamler recognized my strong hesitation in moving forward. They knew I wasn't going to trust them. Well, what do you know...Doug offered taking my information and running it through. He promised he would make it happen somehow, someway. For crying out loud, I was even given a cup of coffee to relax. Two days, I was waiting for the disapproval. During those two days, both Jeff and Doug called just to check in and reassure me they were still working on it and encouraged me to feel confident about the process. Thursday, I got the call and nearly fell over in my chair at work! Overcome with shock, disbelief, and plain astonishment I was faced with now trying to gather funds for the transaction. Scrambling around looking for additional funds, I had to let them know the bad news on my behalf. By that time, I thought "This was it. There is no way they can help me now." And, there was no way I was going to another dealer considering my credit had been run about 3-4 times already and taking the chance of point reduction, I really didn't want to bother. "Let us work some more and we'll call you" was Doug and Jeff's response. When I tell you I had NO hope, I really had NO HOPE. I got the call again and believe it or not, these two men and the dealership worked their magic and I was told to come in and sign the papers. I cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for Jeff and Doug. From the first day, I was introduced to the owners and not once was I being forced into making a deal. I wasn't forced into loving anything either. In simplest way, they were putting me at ease or trying to. I was a very nervous wreck. Friday evening, I drove away in the GMC Terrain; all mine. They had it detailed and it had a full tank of gas. Every single button and option was discussed thoroughly by Jeff. I could not have asked for more from them. I am a first time buyer (plenty of prior private sales though) at a dealership and I would have never ever considered a GMC or even Colandrea. It was a last minute turn into the dealer lot that landed me into the hands of Jeff and Doug. Going above and beyond for someone you know well is not surprising; we do it all the time for people we love. But, going above and beyond and back again is not some thing you do for a complete stranger. These guys did it! I've told my friends about what they've done for me and no one believes it! Their first reaction is "what's the catch? Sales people don't treat buyers like that." I felt the same way. But, Colandrea has changed my mind and they've set the bar so high that I can't imagine any other dealer, who would do what they did for me. I'm the type of person who lost faith in genuine human beings and when I say these two men changed it all for me; they really did. Their positive attitude and encouragement felt genuine. They may see it as a car sale transaction but they will never know what they have actually done for me. I am so so so grateful to Jeff and Doug and the Colandrea owners.
