Ace carefully listened to what I needed, what a wanted, what a actually didn't want or need, and matched me to the perfect vehicle that fit my needs/wish list. I test drove a few cars, picked the one I wanted, got a good trade-in value for my Civic, and quite unexpectedly, was able to drive off the lot with a 2014 Honda CRV with low mileage that was in near pristine condition. Ended well I have to recommend this dealership in that although I had some issues during the purchase of my new CRV, in no way should this reflect on my salesman I have to recommend this dealership in that although I had some issues during the purchase of my new CRV, in no way should this reflect on my salesman, Matthew Gaskin. He was the reason I stuck with this dealership and why I went back after originally being very upset by my experience. My problem was not with him, what occurred happened during the financing phase of this purchase. The price that I had walked through the door stating that I could pay somehow ended up being $4000.00 more than I had agreed to when it came time to sign the papers. It was closing time and my trade had already been emptied out and I felt railroaded into signing for $1000 more than I had agreed (maybe the thinking was that it was somehow better than $4000?). I had walked in knowing what I wanted and needed to pay, and was told it was "not unreasonable". The person pulling the strings behind the very sweet, kind and nice salesman was apparently only interested in getting more money out of me. It may have been due to my being a 60 year old single female, after all, what do we know right? I signed a deal that I was not happy with at all and the next business day spoke to a manager, "John". He not only listened when I told him how disrespected I was, he made sure that a new deal was drawn up, one where I got the price I had originally agreed to. I have to say I was impressed. He really did not have to do that. He also did not have to make sure that I got an additional item that I had been promised, even though the dealership lost money on it. After you sign a contract there really is no recourse, there is no "three day rule" here in Florida as some believe. I was fearing the worst and even an extra $1000.00 is a lot of money to me. I originally financed this but I plan to pay it off within a short time period. Joe in the service department was also extremely courteous and kind. I was treated like a queen when I came in to have the install. There are a lot of places that would have just blown me off after getting my money. I plan not only to be a repeat customer, I plan to have my car serviced at Coggins as well. Matt is truly an amazing guy, he is honest and I am grateful that he stuck with me and we were able to get me into the car that I really wanted and needed. More
