Bought a new Accord here. Did not have exactly what we wanted but managed to order our car. Hospitalized between purchase date and delivery date. So they came to my house with all the paperwork and the ca wanted but managed to order our car. Hospitalized between purchase date and delivery date. So they came to my house with all the paperwork and the car while I was convalescing. I would call that Service Extraordinary! I would surely reccomen this as a place to buy a car. My past experience with Honda for service although over a decade ago would indicate that should be customer-friendly as well More

We went to approximate 10 dealerships within the Dallas area, but thanks to my brother Jerry Gunter (JT),at Coggins Honda , Orlando Florida for listening to our concerns, and convincing us that we wanted to be in a Honda and nothing less. After pondering on how to help us, he first looked at their stock at Coggins Honda in Orlando, and other Coggins Honda affiliates. Jerry said let me call you back my boss, Jerry Lovins have some contacts in the Dallas Area. Shortly Mr. Lovins came on the phone, and told us where to go. He stated that If you're Jerry Gunter family you're our family(Honda). Mr. Lovins, directed us to go to David McDavid Honda of Irving Texas, right off the Belt Line, which is approximate 10/15 miles from our home. He told us not to worry, we will be taken care of. He directed us to see a Mr. Michael Sawin. After arriving at the dealership, we were walking around looking at new cars, and Mr. Sawin, approached us and asked us were we Mr. and Mrs. Cliff . Gunter. It shocked us and I said yes. He state that he had spoken with Mr. Lovins, and he told him to take care of us. Michael said pick out what you want, and you're going home with the car today. I was shocked. Michael and his staff was great, and he spoke highly of Mr. Jerry Lovins, and said he must really respect my brother highly. It took us less than 30 minutes to get a car. This wouldn't have happen if it wasn't for Jerry (JT) and Mr. Lovins customer service skills. Whats so unique, about this sale, the General Manager, got involved in helping us and he stressed that you're family. When we walked into the dealership, we were treated like Royalty, and that’s the way we was treated by the David McDavid Honda Family. The Coggins Honda, Team, and the David McDavid Team, truly helped us in a time of desperation. I can only recommend a great team of Honda Experts from the East Coast, all the way to Central Texas. Again a Great thanks to all for making this happen. My wife and I really love the New Honda. Jerry if your Boss doesn't get this pass it on to him, a Big thanks from the both of us. We bought a used car from this dealership. The salesmen was OK and we seemed to work out a fair deal on a mini-van. My wife went in to finish the deal on her own (IT was for her) and they proceeded to tak was OK and we seemed to work out a fair deal on a mini-van. My wife went in to finish the deal on her own (IT was for her) and they proceeded to take complete advantage of her. The deal was an OUT THE DOOR deal, yet they charged $2K in fees. The finance person was EXTREMELY rude to her the entire time. Talking down to her like she was 3 years old. Then, they completely messed up the loan after that... we are STILL (2 months later) trying to fix the mess of the deal. Do not walk, RUN...away from this dealership. Trust me. More

Your sales manager/staff could not agree to what we were willing to pay for what we considered to be a "used vehicle" i.e.; had been used by your dealer's owner for X amount of miles. Yes we understand the "title" issue but it still ran around town, may have received abuse, etc., etc. Not that we were offering a blue book used car price, but a better price than he was trying to get. In addition, this wasn't the car we were looking for to start with. The vehicle I am referring to is the white Pilot sitting in your lobby offering $1.00 off per mile. We originally wanted a Pilot with cherry exterior and black/dark grey seats on the interior. Which you did not have on the lot. All of your cherry vehicles had light interiors. So why should I pay a premium price, for a "used vehicle" when it's not even what I wanted. I was willing to purchase something that I didn't really like if the price was right; it wasn't. If I could make a few comments. In these times where competition is so fierce, negotiation is super important and sometimes it's better to loose some profit in order to gain a new customer and secure a sale and future sales. As a business major, I understand how expensive it is to acquire a new customer. My former cars were BMW and Volkswagon and I made a comment to one of your salespeople how those dealerships offered coffee and juice to their customers. To my surprise, the comment was that they get you on the car price. I thought his comment was correct, until I left your dealership and went to Coggins Honda in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail). Wow!!!! what a dealership. They had the car I wanted, cherry with dark seats and only 7 miles on it. We agreed on what I felt was a fair price for both parties and guess what. They have several brands of coffee, donuts, tootsie rolls, mints, pretzels, a popcorn machine, and huge TV with current movies playing continuously. All for free. Better than BMW and Volkswagon. Now that is wanting to win customers. Not only did we purchase the car, but other services. Maybe you guys can learn something here. I was certainly impressed, and they had a full waiting area with people getting their cars serviced. I apologize for the length, but I hope you appreciate that I am trying to help your dealership better itself so it can acquire a larger and broader customer base and expand your business, for me, the customer. Believe me, word of mouth is much more effective than a color postcard. I'd like to get serviced and purchase my next car in Clermont (2 years), but you have huge shoes to fill. I was just in town for a few days. My check engine soon warning came on in my 2012 Honda odyssey. With several Honda dealers in town, I just went to the nearest one. Up front about possibilities of solving my problems. The dealership has very excellant accommodations for their customers. Even though the total time ended up being a few hours, the problem was resolved, updates were made to my car computer, and the car was washed. The best part that all expenses were covered by warranty. Highly recommend this Dealership, especially the service department. More
