Excellent (and redeeming) service experience at Coggin Honda Last week I had an excellent (and redeeming) service experience at Coggin Honda, with Bruce Scheller, as my Service Advisor. Since moving to Orland Last week I had an excellent (and redeeming) service experience at Coggin Honda, with Bruce Scheller, as my Service Advisor. Since moving to Orlando four years ago, we've had our Pilot serviced at Coggin. The dealership itself makes waiting comfortable, with great customer lounge area, and nice amenities. Our first couple experiences were fine; but, then declined to just so-so. (Never able to have same Advisor again, etc.) The last (almost final) time, having to seek out my Advisor twice, after long wait (hours) periods, only to get inconclusive updates. Plus, having the whole thing punctuated by an issue with follow-thru on a part, billed as installed but discovered later (visibly) was not; and the Advisor debating it had been. Almost losing us as a customer over a $15 retail ($5 cost?) part. The day before I went to schedule this service, I even looked at other area dealership options; but, decided to give Coggin another chance. I am glad I did. My experience with Bruce (Scheller) as my Service Advisor was outstanding. He was polite, professional, thorough in checking service history records, listened and asked questions. He arranged for the shuttle, called during the day with updates, was efficient in the check-out process, waived a diagnostic fee, and even called the next day (Saturday) to follow-up. Also, the shuttle driver, Juan was exceptional. Courteous and prompt on the drop-off and pick-up trips. Overall it was a excellent (and redeeming) experience. We have had five Honda vehicles, and dealt with Honda Dealerships in two major metro areas prior. This most recent experience was back in line with what we've always known and appreciated about Honda Service Departments. More

He has changed my opinion on the Service Center at Coggin Honda. Chris has great customer service skills and truly cares about his customers! I would recommend Coggin Honda service center and I would totally recommend Chris Rhiner, he is awesome! Thanks for your services. More
They Don't Keep Their Word The message from the GM is the exact message left on my review on YELP. I have called numerous times (that is the dealerships # not his direct #) and all I get is voicemail. He has never returned my call and he never answers the phone. What a joke. The comment is just to "look good" on here but isn't sincere or genuine. They could care less that they took my $1500 and didn't fix my car and I still have the same issue I took it in for service for. Took car for repair for a specific issue and it was not fixed. Brought back a second time and was told 99% sure 2nd repair would fix issue and didn't. I took my car to Coggin Honda Orlando on 1/11/16 to figure out why after an hour of driving my car, I would turn it off and go back to start it and it won't stay on unless I give it gas. The service adviser said they would put it on a diagnostic machine. He called me later that day and told me it was the computer to the car and a radiator relay. I asked him is this going to take care of my problem of the car turning on/off after an hour and he said yes. The service adviser had to order the computer to the car and that took a week to come in. I dropped it off the morning of 1/20/16, and I got it back that evening after work.I paid $1112.70 for this first repair. I drove my car home, changed my clothes and went to go to church. As I was getting ready to go to church my car did the same thing again and wouldn't stay on. So, I text the service adviser to let him know the car was doing the same thing. He told me to bring my car back in and I told him I wouldn't be able to do it until January 25th. They put my car back on the diagnostic machine and he came back with another test that said it was something else wrong; the EGR valve and 02 sensor. I asked him again is this going to take care of the specific problem I had brought the car in for as I had already paid over $1K and they were now asking for more money for this additional repair. His reply was he was 99.9% sure that this would definitely take care of the issue. I told him to go ahead and get it done but questioned him again, was he really sure this would fix the problems. He replied, "Oh yeah, this will definitely take care of it." After a week without my car I went to pick it up Friday 1/29. He said they tested it and drove it and also left it on for a while and that the problem was fixed. I paid the additional fee of $397 for this second repair that was going to 99.9% fix the issue. I was told this was a reduced at cost amount as I told them to see what they could do about the cost for the second repair as their first attempt cost me over $1k and didn't fix the problem. I left there and went straight to church. From church I went to McDonald's, then finally went home. I pulled up to the driveway and told my daughter, "Wow, the car seemed like it really did get fixed this time." I went in the house and we soon realized we were missing food items. So I was going to go back to McDonald's and get what was missing. As soon as I got in the car and tried to turn it on, it wouldn't stay on. It was doing the same thing again. So I recorded it on my iPhone and text the video to the service adviser. He replied, "xxxx it, bring it by tomorrow." I told him it would have to be after 2pm because I worked Saturday morning. I got there at 2:20pm the next day. I sat there for an hour and a half as they looked at the car. He took me into a room and said that there was nothing else they could find wrong with the car. So I asked "Do I get my refund, or can you put my parts back in?" He said "No because you needed the parts and they couldn't put old parts back in." My response was "So I just wasted $1509.70 and my car is still having the same issue daily?" I asked for my keys and left as they refused to honor their word to solve the problem after they had already received my payment and refused to refund me my monies since they never "fixed" my car. More

Recently had new tires, alignment and other items performed and Service Advisors, Adam Higgins and Christopher Rhiner, along with Service heads, Doug Jenkins and Jim Abatsas, were patient with my requests.
