I was there to purchase a new Honda Civic. Things seemed to be going well, we had ( I thought) agreed on a price, financing and were about to complete the sale, when I noticed that the dealer fee of $599 ha to be going well, we had ( I thought) agreed on a price, financing and were about to complete the sale, when I noticed that the dealer fee of $599 had been added to the price. This was unacceptable because I had asked twice if the dealer fee was included in the price or would be added on, and was told twice that the dealer fee was included in the price. When I pointed this out, basically I was told that they never include the dealer fee in the price, and without saying in so many words, that the salesman had made a mistake. They would not give me the deal we had verbally agreed upon. The best they would do, the sales manager( a Mr Lopez) told me was give me $100. off the fee. I had to leave without completing the sale. I am very angry. More

Sure, their smiles gleam with kindness. Sure, their voices sound innocent. Truth is, they're just in it for the money. Be aware of the most common bait-and-switches - they use them. NEVER negotiate off voices sound innocent. Truth is, they're just in it for the money. Be aware of the most common bait-and-switches - they use them. NEVER negotiate off monthly payment. Watch all prices they give you in every category. They will try and hit you with a HUGE(!!!!) $595 documentation fee that is pure profit for them if you're not vigilant. Watch out for them trying to change your financing years without notifying you. Be certain to watch your trade-in value as they will definitely give you the lowest amount possible for it. When you negotiate, know the price you're going to buy for it and do not budge. If you go in uninformed, they'll go a couple negotiating rounds with you acting like their final deal is the "best" price to give you when in reality it's definitely not. Take this advice from somebody who experience many of their little tricks and bought a car from them. This is a dealership not worth trusting during the sale. More
The buying experience wasn't too bad, but after I purchased the car it seems that I dropped off the face of the planet in their book. They took an entire month to mail the check to pay off my old car purchased the car it seems that I dropped off the face of the planet in their book. They took an entire month to mail the check to pay off my old car, so I got charged for a car that Coggin had the entire month, and it took another month to get my refund check. Yet when I was at the dealership I just HAD to sign the papers that night.

Then, I keep getting promotional e-mails from the guy who sold me my car. Really makes you feel like they care about you....

Now it's been MORE than 2 months and I STILL haven't received my license plate. I've called numerous times, and most of the time the phone rings about 30 times. I had to leave 3 messages and send them an e-mail, and finally 7 days later I heard back from them. When someone does answer, most of the time they're either rude, or they put me on hold so they can tell their friend that some employer will most likely not give them a drug test. Well, if they're so worried down there about drug tests, that explains a lot!!! It turns out they transferred the tag on the old car to my new car. Well that's fine, but had they spent 2 seconds checking they would know that the old car was in their possession, along with the license plate!!

I have never, in any experience with a company, car dealer or otherwise, dealt with a more inept group than the bunch down at Coggin Honda. When they put you on hold, their recording tells you they're interested in not just one-time sales, but life-long customers. Well, Coggin, you sure go about it the wrong way. This one-time sale will go back to being a life-long Saturn customer. More
They forgot to tighten my drain plug after a routine oil change and it backed itself out while I was driving! I called them and the service dept was closed so the sales dept handled it! big mistake! they fi change and it backed itself out while I was driving! I called them and the service dept was closed so the sales dept handled it! big mistake! they finally sent a flat bed truck and gave me a loaner after much discussion over who was at fault. This was on a brand new Honda S2000 sports car! they offered me a free oil change ! I don't think so - I do my own oil changes now! More
