Coggin Deland Honda

The minute my husband and I walked in the door we were greated by Chuck McDonald with a friendly smile and a hand shake. We stated we wanted to test drive an Accord coupe and a CRV. He went and got the ke greated by Chuck McDonald with a friendly smile and a hand shake. We stated we wanted to test drive an Accord coupe and a CRV. He went and got the keys and off we went. He was very courteous and professional. He answered all of our questions about the cars. When I told him I liked the ride of the coupe, but I wanted to be higher up he suggested the Crosstour. I did not even know that this car existed. We test drove it and I was impressed, but ultimately decided to buy the Accord Coupe. Chuck made our experience at this dealership a pleasent experience. This was the most pleasurable experience we have had purchasing a vehicle. More

Don was congenial, patient, and understanding with my OCD...LOL! As for the rest of the crew , everyone is always super friendly when you are buying a car from them..... I ready didn't like the $1795.00 accent group added to each car with out the customer's approval,... which then has to be nullified through long negotiations which is VERY DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE.. I found several other dealers who did not apply this charge to the customer? I appreciate having the freedom to choose what trim accents if any I want.... which was not the case at COGGINS DELAND. BTW, I bought the first new car in my life from COGGINS DELAND at their old location in 2009 and at that time COGGINS DELAND did not add the $1795.00 trim/accent charge to every car, maybe the new location has motivated them to increase profit margins Honestly all dealers are alike, they put out the red carpet, smiles, & free coffee while using huge amounts of salesmanship psychology to win a person over to their way of thinking, which is...." we value your money & business, but want to maximize profits, " after all it is a business. All dealerships throw in a bunch of so -called validated fees to max out the profit margin.....well at least COGGINS DELAND is up front with theirs and probably very successful with those customers who choose to accept the extra cost. All in all walking into a car dealership is like a lamb walking among wolves... if a person is savvy, they may only get bit a few times, otherwise you are dinner! Conclusion: price was average & the experience was good, negotiations were long and timely (a tactic used hoping you'll get so fed up you cave in as after several hours there you don't want to look back at no purchase? Time was wasted).......friendliness was average of what a person can expect from people just doing their job, always trying to be congenial when money is involved. Don? I really thought him a cut above the rest,.. a 5 star. I recommend COGGINS?DELAND. thanx More

Monday I didn't expect to buy a Honda. I made an appointment to test drive two cars at a Chevy dealership that evening. I went by Coggin just to look at prices. I asked Chuck to give make me an offer on a new Accord and was really pleased with every figure of the offer. I told him I might be back but that I wanted to wait and see about the other cars. I called my wife and told her about the offer and she was very pleased. We already owned two Honda's and my wife loved our old Accord. After going for a test drive with Chuck and reconsidering the offer we decided to go ahead. Chuck was great to deal with and showed how professional he is. He went way above what we expected to make our purchase an experience that we would recommend to everyone. More

We where considering other Hondas but went with the new Honda civics for the price and the great gas mileage that it has. Overall I had a great experience there. Chad even scheduled for me to come back and get my windows tinted because they hadn't installed the tint on the vehicle when I had purchased it. Iv already given Chad's business card to a some of my coworkers and family as they will be buying a new Honda in a few months.
