Having decided on the new Honda CRV EX-L, we used the internet to obtain quotes from Central Florida Honda dealers. There wasn't a lot of difference in their initial offers. We did begin to receive emails and phone calls from various dealers. We informed them that we had elected to sell our Buick Lacross on our own and then purchase our new car. Our reason for this was that we , because our car was in Excellent condition, could get more for our car than a dealer would allow. Most accepted this premise, except for Roger Dowdy, Sales Consultant for Coggin Deland Honda. He encouraged us to bring out car to his dealership to determine their trade-in allowance. We were certain in our minds that we would get a low ball number. Finally Roger asked the amount we expected. We gave him the number and he said he would run it by his Sales Manager, Luis Torres. He did so and called and informed us we should bring the car in and that he and Luis would offer us a deal we would be happy with. We did this and within 30 min. after arriving at their dealership we accepted their offer. We have purchased a new car about every three years and this was the smoothest, friendliest, and most professional relationship with a car dealer we have ever had. Thanks Roger and Luis. My car buying experience was wonderful. I came in about a month before I leased the vehicle and spoke with Mr. Russo. He was very friendly and did not push me into buying a car at the time. We were looking for a used Honda hybrid and located a 2012 Insight on the internet at the Coggin dealership in Jacksonville. We explained that we lived a few hours away from Orange City and even further from Jacksonville and asked if they could arrange to have the car brought to Orange City for us to look at and drive. Andrew made all of the arrangements and we drove over the next day, test drove the car and ultimately purchased it. The car was exactly as described and the price was fair. Andrew called me before I arrived to let me know he had been delayed with long time customer but he would have someone else very good work with me. I arrived and Chris Perez was waiting to meet me in the lobby. Chris is the most professional car sales person I have ever worked with. He was very honest, very accommodating for the test drive and with all of my questions. Andrew popped in to introduce himself and checked in with Chris a few times to be sure things were okay. There was never any pressure from Chris or from Andrew. The negotiation process was very smooth and painless and I feel like I got a very good value for my money. Andrew was kind to go have the car detailed and filled with gas while Chris and I finished paperwork. The financial person, Troy, was also very helpful and very clear in explaining everything. Andrew went over all the features again just before I left, as Chris had during the test drive. I would highly recommend Andrew Russo and Chris Perez to anyone interested in Honda!
