Please read everything before you sign the contract When I purchased my 2017 Tucson on 2 June 2017, we went to finance. I was presented with the option to purchase additional service coverage and fabri When I purchased my 2017 Tucson on 2 June 2017, we went to finance. I was presented with the option to purchase additional service coverage and fabric/paint warranties but replied "no" that I usually self-insure those things. After fiddling with his computer, the Business Manager Jaafar Harake said he could switch us from Hyundai Finance to VyStar Credit Union and doing that could get a better interest rate and add in the service contract and paint protection with no increase in payments. I naturally said sure. He never mentioned he was able to do that by changing the term from 72 to 77 months. I signed it without noticing the change. After the fact, I felt it was a terribly unprofessional/unethical maneuver. I requested support from the GM or his assistant, Nick Hyathan who was unable/unwilling to change the contract once the credit union funded it even though I reported my issue on June 12th and it wasn't funded until the 27th. The dealership was unresponsive with post-sales communication; avoiding returning when there is an issue they don't want to address. Their excuses were always that they were too busy. When I told Nick exactly how I would like to see it resolved, he did nothing but say "please let us know how we can improve your shopping experience", completely missing the boat. I'm mad at myself for not catching Coggin Deland Hyundia's slight of hand and at them for not making it right. More
