This dealership should be shut down due to rampant fraud in the finance department. My personal experience was harrowing as the Finance manager used ever trick in the book to inflate the interest rate afte in the finance department. Gap Insurance and Extended warranties. I had completely signed a full contract with the Hyundai finance rate of 4.49 %. Then as I said, when I refused the Gap and Extended Warranty the finance manager Laurence Fillippo began using his degenerate sorcery and tore up the contract in my face. He moved to my side of the table a presented a document saying I was agreeing to a Second Contract. If you’re familiar with dealer “Yo Yo” tactics in Florida this would be what I would call the “In Dealership Yo Yo”! As I was a little rusty not having bought a new car in almost a decade he caught me with my guard down with his subterfuge and I signed the paper agreeing to a second contract. This all happened within just a few minutes. Laurence then went to work on me with a completely new contract which he inflated the interest rate by a half of a percentage point raising it to 4.9%. I learned latter that this is called the “Dealer Reserve” and Laurence will get a bonus on this money and he and the dealer will “Wack” this additional profit up and put it directly in their pockets. I intend to use every possible counter measure of the lowly consumer to counter this for myself and others as I don’t like stealing. Remember just because their title may be “Finance Manager” they certainly aren’t your “Financial Advisor” and they certainly aren’t looking out for you. As Laurence was preparing the “Second” contract with the additional interest he kept saying while smiling “It’s not me it’s Hyundai”. “It’s not me it’s Hyundai”. At the time of this purchase my credit score was 730. They did a total of 5 hard inquiries between Hyundai and the Stealership. That is how I verified that Laurence was a liar and a scammer since Hyundai verified that the first contract was good to go and they would not just arbitrarily in the last minutes of the car purchase inflate the agreement. It is so disgusting that degenerates run auto financing at dealerships, and the theft is encouraged through bonuses with the consent of Top Corporate management. Watch your six when you buy a car. Spend some time steeling yourself with good information to quickly identify scams and sleight of hand at the Stealership. It’s totally a shame that the “Dealer Reserve” the difference between the “buy rate” and the “sell rate” is not illegal. I can think of no one who would like to pay more so the Stealership and finance people can make more $$$s than necessary off you. It’s a material fact that Coggin Engaged in Ripping me off. And I will bet they have done this same technique over and over day in and day out to the detriment of unsuspecting consumers.. I intend to pursue every means possible to stop this behavior and get back the money stolen. Be weary of these people, they certainly don’t care about you!!!!!! I have already made 3 payments on the car. I asked my salesman in the first week to send copies of all the contracts I signed and he never called me back. I still have not received any copies of the agreements and it’s going on 90 days. Hopefully within the next 6 months you will see this Stealership sanctioned and in the news on one of those “Rip Off” reports! Best thing you can do is avoid them like a plague!!! More

Service was excellent, Shane Yoo was very accommodating and explained everything in detail. But, the part cost $1.97 and the labor was $350.00 to install. From start to finish, Coggin Deland were amazing. We were greeted right away. Explained what was happening(oil change). On Friday August 11 2023 I called Coggin Deland Hyundai in Deland,Florida direct and lucky for me I talked to Jack Rosen in the Sales Department I told Jack I was looking for a 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz SE F in Deland,Florida direct and lucky for me I talked to Jack Rosen in the Sales Department I told Jack I was looking for a 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz SE FWD while I was on the phone he went out to look at all the SC’s he had in stock and actually found a SEL FWD that had just came in we talked a little about the different features from a SE to SEL and I decided that was my truck..over the course of a couple of phone calls I had the appraisal on my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport and the all the figures for my new Santa Cruz gave them a deposit on line and made I an appointment to pick up my new Santa Cruz the next morning at 9:00 am..my Coggin Deland Hyundai experience was the best New Car Dealership I’ve ever dealt with and I’m 70 and have bought lots of new cars over the years..Jack Rosen is my car guy now and hopefully I can send him some referrals because he earned that with how he handled my deal and was very helpful and honest with me and my wife from the get go..Solomon Curinton the Sales Manager at Coggin Deland Hyundai worked me a great deal better than any other Hyundai dealers I contacted Thank You Solomon..Christy Vargas in the business office of Coggin Deland Hyundai is extremely smart and friendly and was very efficient with the paper work plus she went out and explained features on my SC Thank You Christy..Larry Fillippo the Business Manager at Coggin Deland Hyundai was very courteous and runs an efficient F&I Department Thank You Larry..I meet with David Mendoza Parts Manager about key fob covers and touch up paint for my SC and he couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating Thank you David…Coggin Hyundai Deland has the feel of a small mom and pop dealership but with the large volume of vehicles they sell I never felt like I was just a number to them and never pressured at all…my advice would be before you buy from any other Hyundai Dealership’s give Coggin Deland Hyundai an opportunity to earn your business and ask for Jack Rosen..and you’ll have a nice experience like we had..
