2.5 hours for an oil change is reasonable...said no one ever 2.5 hours to get a Service is about the worst I have experienced. Cobalt coolant issue ripoff My experience began with calling Coggin at the Avenues several weeks ago to get an estimate on diagnostic for a coolant reading issue. (my coolant sen My experience began with calling Coggin at the Avenues several weeks ago to get an estimate on diagnostic for a coolant reading issue. (my coolant sensor was reflecting erratic temps and the ac would cut off). I have an 09 chevy cobalt with 60k miles . After getting the run around, they could not follow up with a diagnostic price after several phone calls, I chose to not deal with them due to the lack of follow up , and chose to take the car elsewhere. Unfortunatly after a large bill (a new temp sensor) and no resolution I was referred back to a chevy dealer. I put my faith again in Coggin and called to scheduled an apt, although I was told at the time by a female she did not work the register and was unaware of the diagnostic price. I was informed I would recieve an email to confirm the apt, which was never sent. I called 3 more times prior to my apt and still was never told the price. ( They couldnt come up with it, or couldnt get me to someone who would tell me) Once I arrived for my appontment I was assigned a service advisor that I will not name in a public forum at this point however he was very lax and unconcerned with the issue. At this point, I learned the diagnostic was approx $150, but this price would go twards the repair. He asked if there was any other issues so I had them address a recall issue and a problem with automatic locks for the heck of it, since I was paying a diagnostic anyway (this was the suggestion of my service advisor) My car was dropped off at 9am. I did not hear back from Coggin until approx 4:45pm when I called personally to check the status and I was informed they would do the recalls however the parts would need to be ordered and there would be a large bill for the locks if i chose to do so. They wanted to talk a lot about the locks even when i declined that repair and asked that they disregaurd lock issue. I questioned about the coolant issue since that was the ENTIRE reason I brought the car in to begin with. They had trouble remembering that this was the actual issue and I was informed they could not replicate the problem. I was baffled at this reply as this was impossible to me since it occurs literally immediatly every time I get into the vehicle, along with the ac not working. This should have been a very obvious problem. Anyone would notice an AC not working in florida. I had to explain the issue again to the service advisor and informed him I had video documentation of this problem occurring. He advised me to send him the video however they closed in 15 min. I rushed and sent the video. He ran out of there like a flash of lightning for his weekend and was gone at 5pm . Monday I called and was informed that my "service advisor" was off for his weekend so nobody probably got the video and they would call me back Two hours later, I heard nothing (again) and called back. This started a new fiasco speaking to other employees that were not advised of the situation, and long story short after a lengthy and somewhat challenging conversation with Im assuming a customer service rep, I I was finally put on the phone with a tech, and i had to again explain in detail the entire issue so he could understand what was happening. I was called a few hours later and informed I needed a new ECM computer but I would just have to wait until tomorrow. I expressed what I had gone through so far and that I have a job and need my car so they agreed to have it ready by 5pm. I agreed to the repair since I just wanted the issue fixed despite the fact that it was quite a colorful bill. I arrived to pick up my car and i was told that it was "good to go!!". I felt relieved and paid the bill, got into my car and all the electrical in the dash was dead. Dead as a doornail... I checked buttons, the radio, and got nothing. It was out cold..... not even a dim light . I went inside to report this and was promptly shuffled out of the door to enterprise for a rental without much explanation. The next day I recieved a call from my service advisor to my cell phone informing me that I needed a new ECM computer..... (What???? you ALREADY replaced it, I came to pick it up and the electrical in the dash is dead) He apologized and stated he was sorry and would find out whats going on. He called me back later and informed me the dimmer light was just turned down. (this is not accurate, and a load of crap.....I can tell when something is dim, and when something just is OUT), however he told me it was fixed and I could pick up my car. Again I arrive at Coggin and Im told that I am all set. I drove out and 2 miles up the road my temp gage is throwing out erratic info again. I picked up the phone and called my service advisor back immediatly and told him yet again, the issue is not resolved. He advised me that I have to bring it back. I took video to document the issue...Fast forward to the following morning... I called Coggin to speak to the service advisor about bringing it back and I was put on hold twice for 30 min (before I hung up) with no answer. I finally just drove there. (The issue is now worse, my air conditioner is blowing hot air, and the temp gage is reading broken dashes, its worse than before) Once I arrived my service advisor was at his post, kicked back relaxing in his chair munching on a snack. I expressed to him that I am AGAIN back due to this issue and I am missing time at my own job for this. I advised him I attempted to call more than once this AM and he stated "Well, im working really hard" . (Yea.... i can see that.......) They agreed to look again so the service advisor and the tech came out and could clearly see the issue. The tech took pics of the readings in the car. I was brought back inside for paperwork and authorization on a rental. Low and Behold I was told enterprise did not have any cars so I would have to wait a few hours and hope something comes in. (Side note- your repeat customers and your shuttle driver even noticed me and wondered why I was there Yet Again) . While Im waiting for a rental, a few hours later the service advisor arrives and informs me my car is fixed and ready. He then expressed the issue was a burned wire and the tech replaced and re-wrapped everything and I should be good to go. He sent me pictures of the actual wire, and refused to refund me any of the money I paid for a new ECM computer (which i obvioulsy didnt need), and then he proceded to offer me part of his snack and candy that he was eating. Thats pretty unprofessional. Really Coggin????? At the end of the day, you did not diagnose the problem correctly, you put unnecessary parts in my car and charged me over $600 for it, and all I needed was a replacement of a burned wire??? You took valuable work time from me waiting on this issue and because you could not provide a rental. Your service man attempted to tell me the computer was "shorted out due to the wire" . Thats an excuse... That is an incorrect statement since it was reading when i brought it in. (Of course, because thats how you want to keep my money) Can you prove it? I never needed a computer and I did not need to pay you for misdiagnosing and stealing my money at the end of the day. (I needed one wire). I have pictures now thankyou to your service advisor . I would happily pay for the actual repair that was needed however with the run around and unprofessional way you business, not to mention your stealing my money and lying about it, I will not deal with Chevy again unless this is corrected. If you read this review, I give Coggin Chevrolet at the Avenues a ZERO. This is a very unprofessional place to go, and I suggest anyone that reads this , does not deal with them. At the end of the day, I needed one burned wire replaced, and and they charged me over $600, and days of missed work. More

I would never send a car to this location! I have had my car in for repairs from a car accident in January- they have had my car for over 2 1/2 months for a repair- IT IS STILL NOT DONE. Totall I have had my car in for repairs from a car accident in January- they have had my car for over 2 1/2 months for a repair- IT IS STILL NOT DONE. Totally unacceptable-I have dealt with several dealerships-- This is definitely the bottom if service! I have called to to talk to and ask for the GM- and no one wants to let me talk to him! Saying he doesn't have Voicemail and doesn't directly talk to clients.. I'm sure it doesn't matter that they loose 1 client. But, I will NEVER EVER SEND ANYONE I KNOW TO THIS CHEVY DEALER. More

He was friendly, thorough, and was able to negotiate a reasonable price with me on my 2018 Chevy Malibu! Later there were discrepancies in the financial paper work I signed in which caused me to have to return and rectify but Andrew assured to accommodate a full tank of gas for the inconvenience.
