Very good experience! I was initially contacted by Tony, the Internet Sales Manager, in response to an online request by me for information on a vehicle advertised on Autot I was initially contacted by Tony, the Internet Sales Manager, in response to an online request by me for information on a vehicle advertised on Autotrader. He quickly replied to let me know about the availability of the vehicle and let me know that I would be hearing from Keith who indeed followed up almost immediately. Once we met Keith on-site, he was very attentive to our family's concerns and explained the pros and cons of the different options or routes we could go with in purchasing the vehicle we needed at this time taking into consideration both our short-term and long-term goals. Both Tony and Keith were very personable and "down to earth"; didn't get flustered when I needed time to think over the options and made us feel like family (in a good way!). Once we decided on the vehicle, "Kip" (in finance) helped seal the deal by matching the interest rate we wanted while keeping the payment withing our goal. In so doing, he helped us get the best possible price by taking advantage of different promotions available. Our family left Coggin having had a very good experience! “Cracked Eggs” I was discussing pricing with Mr. Hovey as I narrow my search down for the next vehicle. The conversation eventually got to the point of me asking why I was discussing pricing with Mr. Hovey as I narrow my search down for the next vehicle. The conversation eventually got to the point of me asking why Coggin had more negative reviews than other local dealers. His wording let me know they only focus on short term sales and zero customer service. The quote: “When you sell more cars than everyone in N FL, you're going to crack a few eggs” I can’t say I bought a vehicle from here but the attitude of their sales associates reaffirms I won’t be buying Coggin! Recall repair gone wrong. Took my vehicle in for a recall item and ended up leaving with a cracked windshield. When I left my vehicle and they took possession, my windshield wa Took my vehicle in for a recall item and ended up leaving with a cracked windshield. When I left my vehicle and they took possession, my windshield was not cracked. The recall item was for the front wiper transmission so that would be located where the crack in my windshield was located. The service technician and the service manager both deny any wrongdoing and that they didn’t cause the crack and it must have been there before they started working on it. Their response to the situation wasn’t to just admit to causing the crack and just replacing my windshield but to tell me to just ask my car insurance to cover it because in Florida it wouldn’t cost me anything to replace. But I still have to put a claim against my insurance for something Coggin Chevrolet at the avenues did to my vehicle but doesn’t have the honesty to admit to doing. I will never be taking my car back to this location ever again or recommending this location to anyone that asks. This review is a warning to anyone thinking about going to Coggin Chevrolet at the avenues for service or recall work to be done on their vehicle. If dishonesty comes from management, it will just trickle down to the employees working under them, like I experienced today. This customer experience has definately left a black eye on Coggin Chevrolet at the avenues and will be reported to corporate & Chevrolet/General Motors to let them know how this dealer is treating their customers. Rod Robinson Rod is the man, this was the best experience I have ever had buying a car. Rod took time with us answered ever question we had. Also he told us more than we knew about the Travers. Rod took his time with us. The wife wanted a different color and there was not one on the lot. He was able to find us one. And when left that day he keep us informed when the truck was coming. If the truck did not make it at that time he would call and let us know. When the truck made it to the lot he checked and called us and said it was here. We set up a time to come in that day he had the Travers out front and keys in hand ready for us to take a look at it. After we signed for the truck had all the paper work done. Rod was waiting for us so he could set up almost everything he could. He went thru things with each of us that we did not understand, till we had not more questions. We went to a party the next day and everyone asking where we got it did we get a good deal and who was sale man. We told them about how great Rod was and I hope they call or ask for him when they go to the lot for a vehicle. Thanks Rod More
