I bought a brand new Mazda6 from Cochran Mazda in Wexford. Three weeks ago, @ ~80,000 mile mark, the entire engine stopped working and I almost crashed when it died out on Interstate 279 with my two Wexford. Three weeks ago, @ ~80,000 mile mark, the entire engine stopped working and I almost crashed when it died out on Interstate 279 with my two daughters in the sedan (we were not safe, vehicles were zooming by as we protruded outward into the highway). Currently, I'm out $3,800 in out-of-pocket repairs for a new engine. It had just been to a lube shop as well (plenty of oil supporting the engine). I had left three messages (at Cochran Automotive HQ in Monroeville and at Cochran Mazda Wexford) for David King and / or Jamie Birsic or any Mazda representative of theirs. They hadn't returned my calls (big surprise), until I started vocally complaining. Upon explaining what had happened, they seemed to have cared less and gave me no real solutions. In fact, eventually I had spoken with David King, he had a smart @ss attitude about the entire process and started yelling at me about why I hadn't brought it in to them for service. Meanwhile, he failed to check his customer database. Recently, I had brought this specific vehicle in for front-end damage fixes. I mean...!? BTW, and this is the most pathetic part of it all, their response has been to try to extort even more money out of me by attempting to set up a payment plan for a new engine. I'm not giving them another cent. Can you imagine, the audacity and nerve? Why would I want to give their fixed-ops / service team anything? Don't ever buy a Mazda or any vehicle from Cochran Mazda (Wexford). Having purchased multiple vehicles from them in the past, the "we could care less, it's a you problem now" attitude doesn't work and they know it. I know my growing kids and wife will never do business with their group again. Rather, I'll go to Baierl or Diehl or Kenny Ross. Cochran Mazda Wexford sells lemons and hire lackadaisical nincompoops who simply don't care about their customers or their safety. More
