Check engine repair service I had to take my TDI to them 3 times before the issue was fixed. Had an emergency with my beetle. Went directly to Coastal, they identified the problem, Nick from service drove me to work, and later that day made a loaner car available to me. Total lack of communication I dropped my car off for service at night and thought I'd get a call in the morning (like I always have at other dealers) but never did. I called to follow up on the status at 1pm only to have the phone ring for 5 minutes before I gave up. When I called again I ended up with the voicemail of the service advisor who never returned my call. At 3pm I called again and told the person answering the phone that I hadn't heard from anyone so she was able to track down service and tell me my car would be ready for pickup that night. When I picked up the service advisor told me the check engine light might come back on and if it does it's related to a recall and he'd have to order a part. The next day the light came back on. Why not just order the part right then since the light was going to come back on?! Now I have to find another time to bring it in for service. I'm thinking of going totally out of my way up to Braintree since I'm so unimpressed with my first experience at Coastal. More
