Andy – we were disappointed to see your review of our transaction. We met at the dealership on two separate occasions and reached a mutually agreeable deal for the pre-owned work van. Any dissatisfaction could have been addressed during our negotiations. We acknowledged that you potentially could get a lower financing rate and encouraged you to refinance if that was the case. In addition, we offered to unwind the deal to avoid having any negative feelings about the transaction but you declined. We went the extra mile to arrange for an out of state delivery. I apologize if the runner was late and the vehicle condition did not meet your expectations but we feel as though your representation of our transaction was not accurate. We strive for happy customers with every sale and wish you had voiced your concerns earlier in the process.

It's kind of hard to unwind a deal after I had driven 2 cars over 2 hours to trade in and the titles where already signed over and I'm back to square one in the car search. The van had to come to Connecticut to get a Vin check and get registered so I wouldn't say you went an extra mile to deliver it. All that aside the battery completely died and the serpentine belt started to squeal right when I got home and the driver side window regulator was halfway unbolted resulting in a clucking noise when the window gets rolled up. luckily I found out after visiting my local nissan dealer it still had the basic and drivetrain warranty so I didn't have to take a day off of work and drive to coastal. All of that plus having to wait a week for a new windshield that should have been done while the van sat at your lot since last thanksgiving resulted in the poor review you received, I'm sorry your disappointment in it but you could have done much better.

Erica - I’m sorry that you are not satisfied. - You purchased a used 2009 Frontier with 100k ++ miles from an independent used car dealer - You brought it to Coastal and paid $129 plus tax and shop fees to have a multipoint inspection done - Our shop said, in general, the vehicle is in good condition for the year and mileage - You brought it to your mechanic for inspection and he failed it due to a faulty lower ball joint/control arm - I acknowledge that it is possible that we might have missed the diagnosis but sometimes the results of an inspection can come down to a difference of opinion between technicians. We stand behind our factory trained and certified technicians unless/until we have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle again. - I offered to have you bring the vehicle back so we can look at it again but you said we are too far away - I offered to give you a 15% discount of the price our shop quoted you, if it does in fact need to be repaired, which you thought was unreasonable . You then said you wanted the repair 50% off - You requested a refund for the multi point inspection which I did not think was reasonable since I offered to look at the car again and give you a 15% break on the repair. - You made it clear that it was not worth your time and gas to drive all the way back to Coastal since you live far away - You then threatened to tarnish Coastal’s reputation on Social Media and with the BBB It’s important to mention again that you did not buy the car here at Coastal. The dealer you purchased the truck from is responsible for the vehicle after the sale. My offers of assistance above still stand if you'd like to bring the vehicle to us.
