“Eli Adames in sales was fantastic to work with” Eli & Kevin went out of their way to make sure we got the EXACT Tundra Crewmax in the trim package we wanted. Wasn’t real pleased with the games the finance department wanted to play after we got to that point of our buying experience. We feel we were penalized for having an almost perfect credit score because we had no trade in nor wanted to place a down payment on the truck. Kept sending out papers to sign saying we were paying $2,500 down and we kept sending them back saying we weren’t paying anything down. Told them we may go with our credit union on financing the truck because we were tired of the games but they assured us with 864 credit score they would “SMOKE” our credit unions 4.5% rate. Toyota website shows 1.9% and 2.9% rates for “well qualified” buyers. They told us Wells Fargo at 4.375% was best they found us. I guess 864 credit score isn’t “well qualified” in Cloninger Toyota’s finance department? That’s not “SMOKING” our credit unions 4.5% in our eyes but we lived and learned. Would definitely consider buying again from Cloninger Toyota for sure, but will go armed with a check from our own credit union to avoid their finance department and their games they play!
