I was rear-ended and my truck was totaled. I had a very short time to find a vehicle. I was set on purchasing a '22 Honda CR-V, which most don't look for on a Ford lot. The Cloninger staff did not call me repeatedly, but would promptly provide detailed information when I requested. My sales person, Jonathan Preston, went the extra mile in assisting me: answering my bazillion questions, filling the tank up, and taking me to return my rental. Jon had previously worked at a Honda dealership and was very knowledgeable. And Thomas Tester and Mike Davis, were very reasonable when arriving at the final price; although the dealer fees were the higher than all others and, of course, non-negotiable. Never once did I feel pressured, nor did I have to endure any sales pitches. When I arrived to pick up my new (to me) vehicle, collectively, the staff at Cloninger exceeded my expectations, with their prompt and courteous assistance. While I did not plan on having to purchase a vehicle, Cloninger made the transaction an enjoyable one. Thank you and keep up the good work. More
I am 60 miles away so had to comminucate by phone or text a lot prior to driving to see the truck that I wanted. Then we arrived to look at it and he and his brother took excellent care of me and my wife but the problem was we had an appointment and needed to leave asap. So they did a great job of rushing the paperwork into the final office where the last of the paperwork but we still had to sit with the final guy. This was a big pain. Did not seem to matter to him at all that we really, really needed to move on rather than waste time talking. We just wanted to sign and leave but he seemed to have a different agenda. When we said we did not want added items to the contract at an extra cost he would not take no for an answer. He just kept pushing and pushing and even put us down by saying "why don't you want this coverage? You don't like saving moey or what?" And even when I did not want some kind of oil change coverage with them especially since I live 60 miles away he still would not take no for an answer here either. The guy just kept wasting our time until my wife just stood up "are you done with me".. He didn't say thank you, kiss my rear or anything. Just kept his crappy b.s. hard nose attitude and said without looking up "ya, you can go". I said so are we done and he said no. Very poor representation for a classy dealership. I have bought many new / used cars for me, my wife and all my children and Inever ran into such an impolite pushey, rude and even argumentative person at a dealership in my life. Again, tell my sales guys thanks a lot for being so good at what they do. More
They sell you a vehicle and then want return phone calls. Customer service sucks. The sales person who made quite a commission on a 2023 Ford F350 will not return calls either. Very poor service!!! I let the dealership run my credit. I thought that was it. One pull. 30 minutes later ford motor credit ran it again. Two pulls for one purchase. I only authorized one. This is a great dealership. Blake was our salesman and reached out to us immediately about the Honda Accord we were inquiring about. The sales team did a good job getting my 2016 F150 sold. Service, however, was once again a lot less than satisfactory. It took 10 days for them to replace the motor on the running boards. A couple days aft Service, however, was once again a lot less than satisfactory. It took 10 days for them to replace the motor on the running boards. A couple days after I picked up the truck the rear window shattered. My research unveiled this is a problem with these trucks as the remote start turns on the rear window defrost even when it isn't needed. Service says they have never heard of such nonsense and I am on my own. I would not trust Cloninger Ford of Hickory to do any service work. JD and the rest of the sales team will definitely get you the ride you want! More

Blake and Kyle were wonderful. This is the quickest, easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I called Blake at 3:45 one afternoon, went to the dealership that night at 7:0 This is the quickest, easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I called Blake at 3:45 one afternoon, went to the dealership that night at 7:00, and was home with the deal completed by 8:15. The truck was delivered to my home the following morning. The only issue I had is that the tail gate does not open, but that has nothing to do with the young men that I worked with to purchase this vehicle. More
