Cloninger Ford of Hickory

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! Took my 2004 Ford F150 to have a engine light checked to see what was wrong. They charged me $96 DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! Took my 2004 Ford F150 to have a engine light checked to see what was wrong. They charged me $96 which I was fine with but the news I recieved was not good. They told me that the internal timing was off and that cylinders 1, 3 and 5 did not have enough pressure and 3 had none. They then begin to tell me I needed a new motor that it would cost more to fix it than a new motor. The quote for a new motor was $8300. Told them no thank you. Now here is the bad thing. I have a problem with believing dealerships because I know how the service department works. I took and got a second opinion needless to say I am very upset with these people for lying to me. Not only do I not need a new motor, but there is nothing wrong with the pressure on the cylinders, and it can be fixed for a third of what Cloniger wanted for a new motor. I will never visit this place again and will let everyone I know how crooked this place is. If you want to save money stay away from here. More

They promote the Fordpass Rewards all over the building and the minute I go to use mine the machine is down so all the salesman was worried about was how else would I be paying for my service.
