Bought a damaged car for almost full price and was promised by Malik our salesman and the manager that said damage would be fixed in a timely manner and I would be contacted with follow ups, but I’m t promised by Malik our salesman and the manager that said damage would be fixed in a timely manner and I would be contacted with follow ups, but I’m the one following up not them. I’m the one pressing the matter not them. I am the one that paid 18k for a damaged car not them. I am the sucker for believing a car salesman when I knew better not them More

I spoke to one of the rudest mechanics I have ever spoken to. Basically told he couldn’t answer a question about my vehicle for free unless I brought it in to pay for a diagnostic test. I went here to purchase a bronco. I was aware upon my arrival the price would be high since they had a production shortage. I spoke to a salesman and they had one on the lot which I test drove and liked. arrival the price would be high since they had a production shortage. I spoke to a salesman and they had one on the lot which I test drove and liked. The salesman told me a price and I said that it sounded good I would buy it right there. The general manager got involved in the deal and tried to low ball me on my trade in which I declined and told him a few weeks prior I had been offered $6000 more than he was offering me by a chevy dealership and another cloninger dealership. We haggled back and forth then he disappeared into the back room and came out with a new number on my trade in as well as an addendum on the price of the bronco which raised it 10k over the price we had spoken about before I sat down. I left and he was very adamant about not needing my business. I don't mind disagreeing on price but a general manager being disrespectful is uncalled for and will most likely deter my company and I from purchasing from cloninger in the future. We purchased 4 cars from cloninger the year before and they have thrown that business out the window by being very rude and "shady." The GM's name was Damian Brooks. More
I suggest you research reviews before going here for service. We aren't the only ones to have a bad experience. My mom took her 2017 Ford in for an oil change, inspection and new tires. They told her t service. We aren't the only ones to have a bad experience. My mom took her 2017 Ford in for an oil change, inspection and new tires. They told her they had no way of knowing what size tire came on the car (just so you know, she bought it from this same Ford dealership) so she went and got the numbers for them. I guess they can't do that. Then she was told she also needed rear brakes, which she agreed to. When she went to pick up her vehicle her total was $2944.94 shocked and upset she had no idea what to do since the work had been completed already. She felt defeated and taken advantage of. They had tacked on Transmission fluid change ($326.95), engine air filter ($65), spark plugs ($238.63), cabin air filter ($99.95), rear shocks /struts ($725.81) I contacted the dealership and no one could show me where my mom SIGNED a quote agreement AUTHORIZING this WORK AND PRICING. and the only resolution offered was a complimentary oil change, wash/vacuum and gas fill up on her next service. NO THANKS! I RATHER YOU NEVER TOUCH HER VEHICLE AGAIN! WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU WOULD TACK ON THE NEXT TIME. Furthermore, pricing at this dealership was over $600 more than another Ford Dealership. So do your homework and price comparison before loading the pockets at this dealership! Cloninger Ford of Hickory Service Department can't be trusted if they take advantage of people. Dishonest people never has paperwork signed with all the details on it. Tricky ones, they are. Btw. The General Manager didn't even respond to my email complaint. I resorted to informing other customers after many attempts were made to get this resolved. More
We bought a new 2017 Ford Fusion in 2017 & had a very good experience. Not so this time. We received a memo from Brian Palm offering over book value for our car. We went in to check this out & possibly t good experience. Not so this time. We received a memo from Brian Palm offering over book value for our car. We went in to check this out & possibly trade it in for a 2010 fusion with low miles. Our 2017 was in good shape, low miles, no accidents, & brand new top of the line Michelin tires. We should have walked out when they presented their offer. They acted like our 2017 was barely acceptable and the 2010 was a beautiful car. It looked good for its age but they had not even checked this car out. The windshield wipers and windshield washer wouldn't work at all. The car had a dead battery which would not crank the next morning. When we called, Steven in service, he said to "bring the car in". Dah, it won't crank so my disabled husband had to jump the car off & take it up there. They did agree to a new battery. The cruise control doesn't work at all. The seal around part of the front windshield & the back windshield is missing. All things we will have to get fixed. We dealt with sharks in the water on that day and stupidly settled for a terrible deal. I felt like they were very pleased with taking advantage of a couple of seniors. We won't go back....bad place. If you decide to deal with them, do your homework & watch your back. Linda & Tom Underwood More
