I researched and found that th To Clinton Honda in Annandale, NJ: You have handled my 08 Pilot before and after I bought it in 2015 excellently. I researched and found that the NHTSA stats showed the 08 pilot was the best pilot ever made when I bought it in 2015 so I may have stacked the odds in my favor from Day 1. But you sure made it possible. I bought it from a non-Honda dealer down the road from you - on Route 22, used with 113K miles, which was a bit scary until I got you to go through it and you did so very throughly before I bought it. That was to ensure it was solid and what service would be necessary in writing, and to check in your Honda recall system that the original defective Takata airbags had been replaced under warranty (they had been). Your service people were excellent(very thorough and detailed) in doing this, even helping with the 3rd party radio. That was impressive. After I bought it I wanted it maintained/brought up up to factory specs, You had already provided a written statement of what was necessary. I checked it against the manual and the work your stated was spot on. I also checked your statement of work with a Goodyear store and they wanted to do less of the factory specified items(claiming they were not necessary) - but for the same price. Frankly I thought they don't have your Honda dealer capabilities or worse. Again, you're proven excellent and impressive So I went back and had you bring it up to all factory specs. Since then my total standard service in 3 years has been the correct oil changes, a new sealed battery, and a tire rotation done by you. Because I have liked the car so much and it has run without incident for 2 years that I had you clean out the top of the engine(fuel injectors cleaned out) as I believe the Pilot is a keeper. Look around, there's A LOT on the road. And, the engine clean out resulted in the engine running perfectly, silently, like new. It was also nice to know you guys had taken the top off the engine and not found any problems. Further confirmation of the car's quality - and your honesty. In three years I have had 4 problems which were manufacturing defects. three of which you fixed at minimum cost without any exaggerations. I fixed the other(see below). I cite them as examples of your work. The first was was a rubbing noise when I turned right which was due to dust/ heat shields around the disk brakes rusting and bending somewhat as a result. Your cure was simply bending away from the brakes and your veteran service people advised no more was or would be necessary. The 2nd was that an external shield on the exhaust had come partially loose for which your cure was simply to clamp it. The 3rd is that the passenger side seat belt stopped retracting and providing snug tension on the passenger to quickly lock and stop the passenger in a crash. You replaced the "bottom half" only, which had the necessary lifesaving retractor and quick lock mechanism in it. The 4th I take care of. It is that about every 6-8 months the engine problem light comes on after the gas cap is popped open for a fill up and then closed and driven. It's flaky sensor on the catalytic converter. I've learned how to reset it with a handheld handheld car computer reader from my local gas station. It is my pleasure, believe me, to ONLY come see you once a year compared to a previous experience with a Ford Aerostar with the same mileage which was in the shop every other weekend and lost its AC capability. PS Your Service Advisors, Dan Steadman and now Byron Collings are and have been excellent to work with. They both really know their Hondas. If any reader has doubts , I have no business or family relations of ANY kind with Clinton Honda and drive an hour each way to get there. My fear that I'll have a problem that I can't drive to them to fix. And one hint: ask for any coupons available. Thank you Clinton Honda and see you in a year. Andrew G. More

Squeezed me in I had my car in for service a week ago as part of the preparations for a long road trip. Of course things can happen at any time and with my luck, a chunk of metal found its way into a brand new tire. Deb was able to get me in for service on the day before we were leaving. Mark greeted me and got my car in before the scheduled time. The tire was "a gonner" as the piece of metal made a large, irregular hole in the tire. The good news is that because I bought my tires at Clinton Honda, the warranty provided a brand new tire mounted and balanced for free. No delay in the trip, another reason to buy my cars at Clinton Honda, have them serviced there, and keep driving Honda cars (since 1973). More
