I had my previous Odyssey services at Clinton Honda so I gave them first shot at my new purchase. Clinton Honda's service group is excellent!!! Our sales person, Steve Stosko, was extremely helpful and kn gave them first shot at my new purchase. Clinton Honda's service group is excellent!!! Our sales person, Steve Stosko, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the Odyssey. He wasn't pushy and understood that we planned to test drive the Sienna after the Honda so the sale wasn't going to occur that day. He did provide us with a price that, if we were on the line between the Sienna and the Odyssey, he probably would have lost the business. Fortunately, the Sienna could not compare to the Honda despite its all wheel drive (which we thought was very important in our buying decision). I used Consumer Reports car report and "Build and Buy" car program that reduced the price dramatically on the purchase price and eliminated most fees. However, the lowest price by $500 was a different dealership. I called Steve as a courtesy to let him know that I was going with the other dealer that was only 15 miles away but provided better savings. Steve also called me with a follow-up call and offered to match the other dealer's pricing. His manager also worked to enhance the value of our trade-in. So Clinton Honda got my business in the end more on good follow through than on price. However, beware of their high pressure sales push to sell extended warranty and other premium services at the end of the sales cycle. This function is not done by the sales person, probably because they don't want to take the chance of damaging the relationship between the sales person and the customer. It is a high pressure pitch that is argumentative and takes a lot of time. They almost lost the sale because if it continued 5 more minutes I was leaving. They must make huge profits on these services to go through this amount of effort to jam them down their customers' throats. If these services and products are really important then Honda would get rid of the unneeded moon roof (or make it an option) and add these services as part of the standard package. More
I went to several Honda Dealerships and decided to go with Clinton Honda because my brother has nothing bad to say about them. There are several reasons why I decided to purchase my new 2013 Accord from Clinton Honda. 1.) Since moving to the area about 7 years ago, I found the quality of their service department to be outstand new 2013 Accord from Clinton Honda. 1.) Since moving to the area about 7 years ago, I found the quality of their service department to be outstanding. They have been accommodating, highly professional, and ultimately very cost-effective. Bryon Collinge and the rest of the service team have always gone the extra mile to keep my car in good shape without charging an "arm and a leg" or trying to push unneeded repairs. After more than 356,000 miles though, it was time for a new car. 2.) The sales experience was great. My salesman Steven Stosko was knowledgeable and thorough in answering my many questions. His input helped greatly in making my purchase decision. The price negotiations were no-pressure and the final price was great. Steve also worked around my schedule to arrange a convenient delivery with no rushing. I found the sales approach at Clinton Honda to be "low-key" but always helpful. It's exactly what I wanted since I don't like being pestered. 3.) My financing representative Judy Meier very helpful in arranging financing that exceeded my expectations and outperformed even my credit union rates. She was patient, personable, and took the time to explain every detail. She made financing though the dealership a lot more convenient than using my own credit union. 4.)I looked around the lot and saw that Clinton Honda didn't load up each car on the lot with items such as door edge guards, wheel lip molding, pinstriping, window etching, etc. I have seen other dealerships do this to bump up the price of the car which makes it harder to negotiate and more than a little annoying. Whenever I see that on a car lot, I walk away. At Clinton Honda they didn't play any such "games". If I wanted any of those items, I had to ask for them. More
