Given all the news about human caused carbon emissions, the accelerating pace of climate change, and the link to increasingly strong local, national security threats in the form of ferocious storms, hurricanes and typhoons, we decided we want go hybrid until we can go electric. As such, we have been in the market for either a Prius or a Honda hybrid. We had been to many dealerships as we test drove and researched our options. High pressure, sign here now, types of characters were many along the way. Edgar Oteiza at Clinton Honda is not one of them. Edgar is a calm, centered, committed professional with great integrity. From the moment you start working with him you feel like he is honest. And he was. He walked us through our research and decision making process with great patience, especially when we needed more time and pressed for a better deal. He takes pride in the cars he shows you and in his work. When we needed more time, he didn't put on the squeeze, as 9 out of 10 sales people do. Doing so made us comfortable working with him and made us feel like he earned our business. My wife and I speak multiple languages, Edgar does too, and answered some questions with fluency in Spanish. We decided to go with the 2013 Civic Hybrid. Even after the deal was done Edgar has and continues to follow up with us about important details I had overlooked. That, in particular, is a rare quality. Honda is lucky to have Edgar Oteiza. I stumbled upon a listing for a 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid through an online search that brought me to Clinton Honda. When I glanced over the original listing on a third-party site (who won't be named) the vehicle had all the bells and whistles I had been looking for, which is what piqued my interest in the vehicle. I immediately called the dealership to set up a test drive for the weekend. When I spoke to George over the phone he was very polite and did not seem the least bit pushy. I was driving up from Virginia, but the vehicle listed on the third-party site seemed too good of deal to pass up. Upon further inspection, the photos listed did not match all the described features, so I called George with my concerns. He immediately referred me to the Clinton Honda inventory site, where he said the most accurate information would be found. A little disappointed that the vehicle no longer came with a sunroof or heated seats, I still found the actual vehicle to be worth my time to drive up and check out. When I arrived for my test drive, George was ready and waiting for me at the front entrance. A little quiet, but a very genuine guy. Test drive was relatively quick, a little bit of residential roads, some bumpy roads (to see how the car would handle imperfect conditions) and some short highway action, I definitely liked the car but didn't love it. I expressed to George that I was a little hesitant because I hadn't felt like I had been able to experience the full range of the vehicle. We took it on a second test drive and tried some higher speeds on the highway and some quick braking. After that I was sold. George drew up all of our paperwork, and sent it to Patrick to be reviewed. We were there on a Saturday, so I could tell they were a little understaffed for how busy it was. We waited on Patrick for a significant period of time (approx 2 hours!), but since I could tell they were busy, I didn't actually mind much. We had great conversations with George to pass the time, as he was very personable. Once we met with Patrick he was also very friendly and helpful answering all my questions about warranties, packages, etc and helped me find the right fit for me. Our time spent with him was quick, as the do have a no-haggle policy, but I found the pricing to be very fair regardless. The only thing I would say is that George didn't seem to know as much about the specific components of the vehicle as I would have thought. Maybe it was because he wasn't as knowledgeable with the hybrid vehicles as the regular gasoline, but he did find answers for everything he didn't know off the top of his head. Overall, I would recommend the dealership, my experience with George and Patrick was a good one, and if I ever find myself looking for another vehicle in NJ I will know where to go. More

My wife loved the CRV and wanted to lease another in 2014. I called the dealership and spoke to Bob about the new CRVs. We knew we wanted to deal with him for the new lease. Bob took care of us once again and the lease process was seamless and very fast. Bob Westervelt is a gentleman and an excellent sales person. It would be very difficult to find a better sales person. my wife and I were in the market for a new to us CRV. Our current car is a 1999 CRV w 215,000 miles on it. Our initial visit was on a sunday to be able to look and not be hounded by salesmen as was our experience at another Honda dealer. We found 2 in particular that looked promising, one because of an exceptionaly low price for model and mileage. I contacted the dealership by email sunday night and got a quick response. Monday morning i recieved a phone call and set up an appointment for that evening. Scott greeted me and got keys for the 2 cars i requested and we looked them both over. We discussed pricing and the manager and Scott gave me a deal we just couldn't refuse. The car was ready for our pickup on the following day. More
