Met by salesman Dan Wolf and explained that we were buying a new car in the next few days and were looking for the straight forward approach. We had already done our homework and knew what we wanted. buying a new car in the next few days and were looking for the straight forward approach. We had already done our homework and knew what we wanted. After visiting another Honda dealership and pretty much getting the brush off, Dan got right to it and with his first try was very close to what we wanted in price. After a short exchange back and forth we pretty much had a deal but they did not have what we wanted in stock and he said he would locate one for us. We left witht he understanding that I would come back tomorrow and we could talk more. Dan was fine with that and we didn't get any pressure from him to stay or the typical "what can we do to make a deal right now." We didn't even consider going to another dealership there was no reason to after the way we had already been treated. Went back the following morning and Dan produced a list of other dealerships that had exactly what we wanted and said he will get the car and have it ready withing a day or two. Then he told us he did have a 2013 Honda CRV EX-L in black in stock but it had navigation. Although he wouldn't just let us have that one at the same price (which was understandable considering he had given us such a good price already), with one try he made it to good of a deal to pass down. Tom came over and even included 3 free oil changes to the deal so we took it. We did not expect to get one with navigation because of price and he was able to get the price to where we wanted to be. These guys made the typically horrible car buying experience, a no pressure, no stress time and we would recommend and purchase from them again without hesitation. If your looking for a very positive experience, go see Dan Wolf, I guarantee that you will not get the used car salesman experience that is typically associated with buying a car. Great guy and a straight shooter, I cant say enough good things about him! More
Very good experience buying this car. I purchased other cars here and continue to come back because of the great service.. It took a little long, but it does no matter where you go. Although my car buying experience is a little different than most - I used my credit union's service to negotiate the sale - Anthony was responsible for taking that sale through to its completion. With a than most - I used my credit union's service to negotiate the sale - Anthony was responsible for taking that sale through to its completion. With a pleasant smile and demeanor, we managed to quickly get through all the paperwork without any hitches, patiently answered all my questions and followed up in a timely fashion. When the car arrived, he ensured it was just the way I wanted it. Thanks Anthony! More
I visited 3 other Honda dealerships prior to Clinton Honda. At every other dealer, I endured the typical car dealer experience of salesman selling me what I already knew I wanted, pricing that I knew wa Honda. At every other dealer, I endured the typical car dealer experience of salesman selling me what I already knew I wanted, pricing that I knew was out of whack, then the manager that made me a "great deal" that was only good today due to specials, blah, blah, blah..... I called Clinton Honda, as we have had several wonderful buying experiences at one of their sister dealerships. I spoke to Gil, told him what I wanted and within a couple hours, he called me back with a price. The price was within dollars of the best price I received after skillful ; ) negotiations with the other dealers. Done! I filled out the credit apps online and in 2 days, drove to Clinton, picked up my car and was done. Gil is easy going, thorough and friendly. Like working with family. If you like the typical car purchasing experience, go to Autosport or VIP. If you want a great deal without the mental fatigue, call Gil at Clinton Honda. More
My overall experience with Clinton Honda was very positive and as painless as possible when buying a new car. Janet Contrino was my salesperson and she made me feel at ease during the process. We were in the market for a 2010 Honda Accord to replace a very reliable Mercury Sable. Clinton Honda had exactly what we were looking for on the lot. Ken Steel spoke to us about the Honda line of cars, ans a very reliable Mercury Sable. Clinton Honda had exactly what we were looking for on the lot. Ken Steel spoke to us about the Honda line of cars, answered all our questions and then we went of a test drive. We put a deposit on the car and took it to our mechanic for an inspection. The car was flawless and at only 27,000 miles, it was almost buying a new car. Ken took us through the paperwork and his business manager Patrick completed the sale by offering a variety of add-ons. Both gentlemen never pressured us to buy anything we didn't want. Overall, this was a very pleasurable experience and I would recommend Ken and the dealership to anyone. More
We have bought multiple cars from this dealership and it has always been a positive experience. Steve is knowledgeable, professional and can be counted on to follow up on any questions/requests. When one chooses to purchase a new car, they are inevitably visited by the thought of what car salesmen typically behave like. They are reminded how the typical salesman will try to pressure you int inevitably visited by the thought of what car salesmen typically behave like. They are reminded how the typical salesman will try to pressure you into making a sale you aren't comfortable with. When I worked with Ken Steel on purchasing my Toyota, I felt none of that pressure or stress! He was courteous, respectful, and always finding a way to make the purchase of a new vehicle (which is stressful enough as is for someone just finishing grad school) seem less daunting and more manageable. Couple that with the great financial adviser he directed us to for my financing, Patrick Steadman (who helped make all possible decisions for additional coverage very easy to understand), and the overall experience was wonderfully refreshing! I would definitely recommend the Clinton Honda, as well as the service of both Ken Steel and Patrick Steadman, to anyone looking to purchase a used vehicle in the future! More
I made an appointment at Clinton Honda to discuss whether to buy all new PAX tires & tune-up for my 2007 Odyssey Touring with 89,900 miles or to see what incentives Honda was offering on a new Odyssey. I lo to buy all new PAX tires & tune-up for my 2007 Odyssey Touring with 89,900 miles or to see what incentives Honda was offering on a new Odyssey. I loved my Odyssey and was VERY hesitant to trade it in but Charlie Bippart did a phenomenal presentation covering the incentives that Honda was offering. He was very knowledgable in every aspect. He worked hard to find what we felt we wanted and needed in a new car, made informative and helpful suggestions. He understood that the trade-in value of our 2007 Odyssey was an important financial factor for us and he worked hard with the figures to get us the best deal possible. He was professional, very comfortable to work with and at all times we felt he had our best interest in mind. When we picked up our new Odyssey he explained the use of all the new features and emphasized that we should never hesitate to call him if we had any questions or concerns. He was a pleasure to work with. Tom Winnicky, the new car sales manager, was excellent in helping us to understand all the logistics that go into trading-in our car and explaining to us all the financial details in order to realize the best offer. We were extremely impressed with how the staff worked together to get us what we wanted and with no pressure. Last, but now least, was working with Jean Meier, Business Manager. Her efficiency, knowledge and presentation of each document, (and there were plenty of them) was excellent. And she was so personable. This is the second Honda that we have purchased from Clinton Honda and our son has also purchased two Hondas from Clinton. I travel from Scotch Plains for all my service because I feel the service is excellent and the employees are always so upbeat when working with you. You also provide a pleasant atmosphere in your waiting area, along with the additional plus of WiFi accessibility, TV, and a play area for the little ones. Kudos is all areas for Clinton Honda and their employees! More
