I dropped my 2020 sonata off on 12/28/22 for no heat on the passenger side. Was called on 1/04 and told me all fixed. Heat is blowing good on the driver side, but you need rear brakes an rotors $369. Declined brakes at the time and said it was the passenger side. Oh hold on, went out ran car and said yep all fixed. Went to pick up car, charged me $29.99 for tire rotation. Went out to car and heat is blowing cold on passenger side. Left car running and got the service manager Chris. He felt it was cold and then got the master tech who also stated it was hot before.....hmm well I'm not going to call you a liar, but obviously it's cold, then I asked how did you rotate my tires and there is not a hand print, a spot on my tires where you would have taken them off my car? And if you would have called me and informed me then I needed rear brakes, I would have told you not to rotate my tires. Chris said they would have rotated the tires 1st. Me: so you took the driver rear tire off then the passenger front tire off switched them and put them back on, and then took off the rear again to then check the brakes. I left my car for them to actually fix the heat. My husband then called Chris and asked about the tire rotation and kind of stops my husband and says are you going to get your brakes done here? Hubs so now and Chris says of course not. My husband says there's no need for you to be a xxxxx, he says your being a xxxxx and says he is going to refund us for the tire rotation. Fast forward to a couple of days later and Chris informs me they have to replace the heat cupler as that's what hyundai has told them to do. Have to wait for part, a couple days later they get part in and as they are removing it a piece brakes off into my turbo, now they have to replace my whole turbo, waiting for parts. As they are removing turbo, they brakes the bolts off of my egr cooler and now have to replace that. At this point any call I get from Chris almost puts me in tears as they have broken everything they touched! I can't take my car anywhere else as it's not running, have to just leave it. So a week later everything is back in car runs great, but don't understand how the heat isn't working again now. So now they have to replace my heater core! And I am absolutely terrified as I think they have to take my whole dash out to get to it. And again so far everything they touched they have broken. On 1/24/23 almost 30 days later they call me and tell me my car is ready. Of course I'm skeptical as I was here before. Picked car up and heat actually worked. Car seemed ok. Ordered parts brakes and rotors off of Rock Auto....had absolutely no problem with them. Took my car and had a different shop replace them for me only to be told I did not need to replace them. Was told I probably had a year left on my pads and the rotors were fine. So in a nut shell, Hyundai service dept of wentzville broke everything they touched, had my car for almost 30 days, oh and never offered a loaner o4 askes how I was getting back in forth to work, lied about some of the service they performed and ended up costing me $200. I unfortunately have to take my car there so I don't void my warranty or I would never go there again. Worst experience I have ever had More
