Let me start by saying I'm a young woman buying a car for the first time. I fully believe this dealership and the people there could see that and tried to take advantage of me. While the salesman I talked to the first time. I fully believe this dealership and the people there could see that and tried to take advantage of me. While the salesman I talked to, Sean, was very kind, the whole experience was sketchy, confusing, and was filled with bad vibes. I came in ready and excited to buy a vehicle that I had seen online, at an acceptable price point for me. I had secured pre authorization for a loan through Capital One, which said my monthly payments would have been a low, reasonable number. Flash forward to me having test driven the car and liked it - I was ready to hand over my money. However, then the confusing xxxxxxxx began. I realized they had never told me how much the car was being sold for, they had me fill out an application for their In House loan, even though I had my own financing, and claimed it was the same because it was fulfilled through capital one as well, except the numbers came back at almost triple what I had been quoted by capital one. I told them this was ridiculous and then noticed that the price of the car also had a NON NEGOTIABLE "connect and protect" fee attached to it, for $1000. I told them I didn't want or need it. They told me there was no option to remove it. Then the salesman, still very lovely and nice making me feel like he was on my side - us against the Big Bad Car Dealership Price men - proceeded to go through a big charade of taking my quoted loan paper over to a glass walled office and yelling to "bring down my payments". I suspect this was more xxxxxxxx. At this point I wanted out. I told them I wasn't feeling the vibes and wanted to sleep on it, they told me the car might not be there when I came back, I was fine with that and told them the universe didn't want me to have That Car then. THEN the manager of the place, Dwight, came over. His vibes were majorly off. He was putting off an aggressive aura that was meant to intimidate me into signing for a xxxxty deal. I kept trying to leave and he kept trying different tactics to get me to sign. The whole experience was unpleasant and I won't be going back. Luckily I got out without taking a Bad Deal, but they DID run a hard credit check on me without informing me that's what they were doing. Not happy. More
Manager, Dwight Walker treated me with urgency when I brought my car back for service. This is something you don't see after the deal is done.
