I had an absolutely terrible experience with Clay Cooley of Mesquite's service department. Their customer service was non-existent and I was left completely in the dark about the status of my car and what I of Mesquite's service department. Their customer service was non-existent and I was left completely in the dark about the status of my car and what I scheduled to be done (oil change) wasn't done within the 5 hours they had my car. After waiting for weeks for a loaner car that was supposed to be included with my Genesis purchase, I finally scheduled an oil change and recall appointment in which my husband had to drive me to and from both ways because nobody could ever tell me when a valet service appointment would be available and my car was overdue at that point per its alerts. (Don't trust them if they say they will call you back, add you to a list, etc.) I had to call several times throughout the day to ask for an update, and when I finally received a text from the service advisor, it was only to tell me that my car was being washed and would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived, I was shocked to find out that they had only done the recalls and not the service I had scheduled. The service advisor even argued with me about my car needing an oil change, despite the fact that my car was telling me it was overdue for one and the sticker they put on my windshield is past the mileage and date for needing service. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service department at Clay Cooley of Mesquite. Their lack of communication and disregard for my time and needs as a customer was unacceptable. I would not recommend their service department to anyone and I would not recommend buying a Genesis if you are looking for the level of customer service and quality of car they advertise coming with that brand, you get the exact same as their cheapest Hyundai cars. I took my car for a routine oil change early this month (January, 2023). Ever since I bough my car four (4) years ago, I have been receiving great service. On this occasion, I was very pleased with Ms. Jad (January, 2023). Ever since I bough my car four (4) years ago, I have been receiving great service. On this occasion, I was very pleased with Ms. Jade's professionalism and attention to detail when she explain my statement and reminded me of all the benefits I still have for the remaining of the year. I really appreciate her assistance with that, and to everyone in the Clay Cooley Hyundai of Mesquite location. Thank you Ms. Jade! More
So thankful to have had Tori Nhan help us buy our new Palisade! She listened and made the whole process so smooth and easy! Would definitely work with her all over again! Alfred Baker did our financing a Palisade! She listened and made the whole process so smooth and easy! Would definitely work with her all over again! The service department has got to be the worst of any dealer I’ve ever been to. They have gotten my car 3 times now for the same repair. Misfire and an oil leak. They blamed the misfire on the oil leak ( dealer I’ve ever been to. They have gotten my car 3 times now for the same repair. Misfire and an oil leak. They blamed the misfire on the oil leak (yeah right) charged me to fix the leak. THE NEXT DAY I have oil everywhere and it’s misfiring. The oil pan has more silicone on the outside and the bolts than anything I’ve ever seen! There was even silicone on the end of the oil dipstick! Absolutely disgusting. I take it back to them to fix this nonsense FOR THE THIRD TIME. And it’s been 4 days not even looked at. You’d think after the 3rd time return it would take some type of priority. Oh did I mention they “did” and charged for an oil change but didn’t change the filter?? Absolutely disgusting. More
I recently bought a 2022 Tucson from Clay Cooley Hyundai in Mesquite, Texas. I am going to list the problems with this experience: * The salesman was the worst I have ever been around in my 40 year in Mesquite, Texas. I am going to list the problems with this experience: * The salesman was the worst I have ever been around in my 40 years buying cars, including my short time selling Ford cars and trucks. Terrible support: never returned my calls throughout the process. Gave me inaccurate or incorrect information about the vehicle. Did nothing to deliver the vehicle except put on the plates and hand me the key. Did not show me any features AT ALL> You would get fired at Ford for that level of service. All he really seemed to care about was that I take delivery before the end of the month. Salesman Jim Griffin * I had to pay a $3,000 upcharge (REQUIRED) for some garbage Family Plan to get replacement keys, dings and such repaired. I stated many times that I did not want this and I was told I HAD TO BUY IT. The salesman said that everybody upcharges now and at least you get something. Another scam or at least smarmy money maker. I felt everything about this dealer was old school, hard sell back and forth to the hidden manager. I wish I had waited for another dealer to have the car I wanted or picked one of my other choices. That part is my fault for sure. I guess I thought a car company like Hyundai would have good clean dealerships selling their cars. They were the only dealer with my exact car in route. BIG MISTAKE> * Finance pressured me hard to buy the extended warranty and wheel warranty. Said it was the only way to get the rate brought down and financed through Hyundai. I went back two days later (when I came to my senses away from the bully tactics) to cancel and that was January 31. I have a copy of the dealer's signed cancellation. It states in the form it takes 6-8 weeks. The dealership I worked for usually issued checks to either the finance company or buyer within two weeks. But okay... * Still no check from the dealer to Hyundai Finance (May 22) to reimburse the cancelled Ally Premier Protection and Intire wheel warranty $3,498). Neither company has any record of the dealer purchasing warranties on my behalf. E-mailed Aaron House (Finance guy) 4 weeks after January 31 and asked if he had submitted my cancellation. Wrote me back and said yes it takes 6-8 weeks. Wrote back at week ten and eleven at least 4-5 times with no reply. * Called the Sales Manager at least 4 times with no return call (Terry Crowhurst). Finally, I talked to another Sales Manager, Mike Pease who said he would call me back, April 11 and let me know what was going on (said some stuff about the under-staffed accounting department) with the refund that goes to Hyundai Finance. No call back ever. I am paying interest on $3,500 that should already be off my loan. * They have a web page with no way to write the various people an e-mail. Only one number was staffed by poorly trained receptionists. No way to get to the corporate Clay Cooley Auto Group. They have a number for corporate that actually puts you in touch with their Chevy Dealership. They tried to transfer me back to Mesquite and disconnected me. All I really needed was some communication. More
I leased a car by trade in, but the salesman was not professional and did not give a proper explanation, so I suffered a great loss. I don't know if she has no experience or not explained it, but she is professional and did not give a proper explanation, so I suffered a great loss. I don't know if she has no experience or not explained it, but she is only interested in selling and is not interested in any inconvenience or damage to customers. It was the worst experience ever. never go More
