Brought my F-150 truck in for front end damage as a result from hitting a low post at Clay Cooley Jeep. This dealer was the closest Ford dealer to tow it to. The original estimate was $1500 and with result from hitting a low post at Clay Cooley Jeep. This dealer was the closest Ford dealer to tow it to. The original estimate was $1500 and with a $1k deductible I asked to begin work without my insurance. A couple weeks later, I was told the parts were now $3500 and the frame was bent. I contacted my insurance to process a claim. I had to pay $900 (part of my deductible) to get the truck moved from Clay Cooley to Texas Collision. The invoice I received was for ~$400 in labor and ~$400 in parts. The invoice they sent my insurance company was for ~$700 labor and $100 restocking fee for the parts. Huge discrepancy. I'll let my insurance company fight that one out since my $1k deductible had to be paid regardless. I told my insurance agent that he should collect the parts since they were paid for per my invoice. Once the truck was examined by Texas Collision, there was NO frame damage and the repairs were made. I would not trust this dealer again. Between an unrelated situation at Clay Cooley Jeep and this situation at Clay Cooley Ford, I will avoid anything associated with Clay Cooley in the future. More
