I've bought two cars for personal use in the last 12 years. Strangely enough both happened to be from Don Davis of Arlington TX. I don't know exactly what's in the water there but they do seem to attract a quality staff. Andrew was the perfect salesman. My son and I are, to put it gently, kind of insane and that tends to put some people off. Earlier in the day we visited another dealership in the area and walked around for 20 minutes before anybody approached us. When we started looking at Don Davis the perfect amount of time lapsed before a salesman approached us (more about him in a minute). By 'perfect' amount of time I mean I didn't feel like I was being descended upon just for glancing at the pretty cars but I also didn't feel like I was being ignored (unlike that OTHER dealership). Andrew came out, took a while to get to know us, carefully assessed our needs and wants, and busted his xxx to find a car that fit all of our requirements. Even when he knew we weren't buying that day he took us out on a drive in a demo to show me the neat toys that Ford has come out with since the stone age. He tried through the week to come up with a car that was palatable for us and when we left turned him and switched our wants from a convertible (lack of communication between Squid and I) to a coupe he handled it with aplomb. In fact I actually felt bad because I felt like I was jerking him around. Andrew rolled through it with a 'no problem' attitude. So we come to Thursday and the other dealership offered me a 'very special low price' for a car that was 'allright' but not 'it' for us. I called Andrew on Friday and asked him what he could do and VIOLA!!! He not only found me a car that would do but one that should be outlawed in 52 states or at least come with a parental warning label. He was with us through the entire process and even followed us home so we could drop off our old Mustang and took us back to pick up our new one after his normal working day was done. Don Davis I don't know what you're paying this guy but it ain't enough. A word on the rest of the staff. Sales manager Dirk Sauerwein: It's obvious you know how to put a staff of pros together. You were around just enough but not too much to make me feel like you were hovering. I also think it's xxxx decent of you to make sure the cars get their tires rotated regularly. Most sales managers wouldn't think of that. Pure genius ;) To the finance guys, sorry I don't have your cards and my memory for names is subzero, but it was a pleasure and thanks for putting up with us and our almost endless supply of off color jokes. I'm still wondering about the pulling up the Vincent thing. That's totally new in my car buying experience but these days you can't be too careful. Semper Fi dude. All in all I'm totally pleased and had so much fun I wish I had the funds to buy a new car every week. It was a blast guys. If you ever need a comedy team to come in and get the customers excited give us a call.. Service like this is one of the reasons I'm a Ford guy. More

They offered a great buy back price on my vehicle and worked out a deal to make my payments fit into my budget. The entire team was determined to make sure that I loved my car! Kudos to the General Manager, Mr. Plummer, Terry Collins in the service department who recognized that I was frustrated with my car size, and our terrific salesman, Dustin Hambrick. I have driven a Ford for 15 years, with all prior vehicles from a different nearby dealership. When I call the Don Davis Ford delaership, a real person in the USA answers the phone and quickly connects me to the appropriate person, unlike nearby dealerships. Because of the great customer service, I am a forever Don Davis customer! More

I've purchased a vehicle in the past from Don Davis and was always treated fairly. We traded our truck in for a more gas efficient car and we got exactly what we wanted. They didn't have a lot of colors to choose from due to the popularity of the vehicle we wanted, which was the 2012 Focus, but we were satisfied with our purchase. I do have to give Carl R., our salesman, a lot of credit. I was very undecisive at first (due to the lack of colors) and spent 30 mins flipping between a Focus and a Fiesta. He retrieved every key and was very logical in his answers for me, which I appreciate! He explained the cars many details to me and made sure I was comfortable with the vehicle before we purchased. Michael in the financing department was also very helpful and also very friendly! He made us feel at ease and explained everything we asked about. Overall, I would definetly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy. Thank you Don Davis! I love my 5-door Ford Focus! More
This was my first new car ever. I am a loyal Ford customer. I had gone to two other car dealerships prior to my visit and either got a crappy salesman or an over acheiver who wanted me to sign the do customer. I had originally heard about this place from friends and was tired from car shopping all day but decided to give it a shot. I was extremely glad I did. When I drove up Will was waiting outside and my first that was 'get my guard up this guy is going to try to stiff me.' I got the total opposite. Will was informative, friendly, great customer service, and quick. He didn't take 30mins to go get a car. When you asked him something he had an answer. I had my heart set on a new 2012 Fusion and they even had the color I wanted. During our negotiation on price, he wouldn't hessitate to go and talk to the manager on the price presented. Will was excellent! In the end I didn't spend hours at the dealership, got the BEST deal (had 5 Star on the phone with the same car and they couldn't beat the deal Will gave me) and it was the smoothest process. Dealing with Michael in the finance dept was even better. He took the time to outline the contract, explain any quesions I had, and didn't make me feel pressured. He even beat the APR on my pre-approval letter. Once we took care of the financing I was congradulated by everyone at the dealership. Will even took a picture of me and my new car. This place really cares about its customers and will work with you. The best experience ever! More

He took his time and showed us different vehicles, NEVER pressured us at any time, and was professional, friendly, and made that initial experience very pleasant. Secondly, I appreciate Michael honoring our wish to NOT call us repeatedly, as one associate from another dealership did, about purchasing a vehicle. When we were ready to purchase the vehicle, we chose this dealership because of sales rep, Michael Boodagh. He knows the products, is patient, friendly, and works hard to understand what the customer needs are, and meets that need. The Don Davis Ford Lincoln Mercury in Arlington was very professional during our purchase. We requested none of this going back and forth to see what they could do, make your best offer and we will accept or decline. This saved time for both parties involved.
