Horrible Service Center Customer Service and Mechanics Bought my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee brand new from Don Davis.. sales with Jim Britton was great, quick and easy. Last September (2017) I started having issues with my car, the code came back with a transmission error of some sort and the "reset" the program to "fix" it. Basically they put a band-aid on the real problem. I hit 45,000 and in July after an 8 hour drive from Corpus my car started having THE SAME issue as it did in September. I took it in immediately the next morning and here is where the bad review really begins. They refused to give me a loaner even though it was the same exact code and problem they didn't fix before until they "figured out what was wrong" and wanted me to pay for diagnostics even though the code was the same as before. If it was a total different problem than before I would have understood no loaner and needing diagnostics. The error code literally said transmission which is covered by power train so I should have been given a loaner right away. I had to make another 45 minute trip that evening to drop my car off with someone to pick me up since no loaner was given. 4 days of no communication I called to see what the problem was and they didn't know yet. They then gave me a loaner because of a " recall" they found. A few days later they finally figured out what the problem was.. Transmission.. SHOCKER. They then replaced my transmission. I pick up my vehicle when work is complete and the service rep said to call if there were any issues. When I got home I noticed the car wasn't sounding as smooth as it used to, some sort of rattle sounding when the car was on and just in park. Now I am a woman so no I do not know much about cars so I waited a week to see if the sound went away since it was a new transmission, it did not. I took it to a local mechanic to confirm that I wasn't just being a girl hearing a noise and he told me the sound was coming from my flywheel and there were two bolts loose from when they replaced my transmission.. TWO BOLTS LOOSE.. this is a totally different argument not to mention putting me in danger. I immediately call my Don Davis service rep Audrey and he tells me to bring it in but they couldn't give me a loaner until they figured out the problem.. excuse me? I haven't had my car back for even two weeks from your service and YOUR MECHANICS CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. If my average woman self can hear a not normal noise coming from my vehicle, how did the mechanics not notice this sound and why was my car even given back to me. I asked to speak to the manager again and he continued to argue with me about my vehicle. After explaining what my local mechanic told me to tell them he told me "but that doesn't tell me anything." Needless to say their customer service in the service center is terrible and their mechanics are just as terrible. I decided to take my car to a more local dodge service center since Don Davis did not care whether they took care of their customers or not. Surprise surprise MY FLYWHEEL WAS BROKEN. Just as my local mechanic said and just as I told the Don Davis service center. The mechanics of Don Davis broke a part of my vehicle while replacing my transmission and not only did they give me my car back with a new problem they took ZERO ownership of causing the problem. I will never recommend their service center to anyone. If you but a vehicle from Don Davis get it serviced elsewhere. I took my car in to Don Davis July 3rd picked it up July 21st Called Don Davis about the new problem August 1st, Dropped my car off at a different dealership August 1st and It is now August 19th and am still without my car to drive. THANK YOU DON DAVIS FOR ALLOWING ME TO NOT HAVE MY CAR FOR 7 WEEKS. More
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SERVICE DEPARTMENT I CALLED AHEAD OF MY APPT TO LET THEM KNOW I WOULD NEED A LOANER CAR. DUE TO THE TYPE OF SERVICE I NEEDED THEY SAID A LOANER CAR WOULD BE AVAILABLE U I CALLED AHEAD OF MY APPT TO LET THEM KNOW I WOULD NEED A LOANER CAR. DUE TO THE TYPE OF SERVICE I NEEDED THEY SAID A LOANER CAR WOULD BE AVAILABLE UPON MY ARRIVAL. WHEN I DROPPED OFF MY CAR A FEW DAYS LATER MY SERVICE AGENT THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE A LOANER CAR THERE FOR ME AND I WOULD HAVE TO GO THRU ENTERPRISE. MY SERVICE AGENT TOLD ME TO WAIT IN THE WAITING AREA UNTIL THEIR DRIVER COULD TAKE ME TO ENTERPRISE. NO ONE EVER CAME TO GET ME SO AFTER 45 MINUTES I WENT TO HER AND TOLD HER NO ONE EVER CAME. SHE THEN GOT ON THE PHONE WITH ENTERPRISE AND THEY TOLD HER THEY WERE 1O MINUTES OUT. I WAITED ANOTHER 40 MINUTES AND WENT BACK OVER TO HER AND TOLD HER I WAS STILL WAITING FOR A CAR OR FOR A RIDE TO ENTERPRISE. AFTER 2 HOURS OF WAITING I FINALLY GOT TO ENTERPRISE AND WAS GIVEN A LOANER CAR FOR A 1 DAY SERVICE. PLUS THERE IS AN OBVIOUS KNOCK IN MY CAR THAT I WANTED THE SERVICE DEPT TO DIAGONOSE BUT WHEN I WENT AND PICKED UP MY VEHICLE THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM COULD NOT DUPLICATED. I COULD HEAR THE KNOCK WHEN I DROPPED THE CAR OFF AND I COULD HEAR IT AS I DROVE THE CAR HOME AFTER THE SERVICE DEPT. I AM SOOOOO DONE WITH DON DAVIS AND THE JEEP BRAND IN GENERAL. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY IN THE VEHICLE BRAND AND DON DAVIS HAS NEVER DONE A THOROUGH JOB DIAGONOSING ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. I WAS LIED TO ONCE BY A SERVICE AGENT BY TELLING ME I NEEDED MY RADIATOR REPLACED (OVER $1000 REPAIR) BUT WHEN I REFUSED AND TOOK IT BACK IN A MONTH LATER FOR THE SAME ENGINE PROBLEM THE RADIATOR REPLACEMENT NEVER CAME UP AGAIN. THEY LIED TO ME AND TRYIED TO PUSH ME INTO UNNECESSARY REPAIRS! AT THIS POINT I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE, I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO DON DAVIS AGAIN FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AND LASTLY I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER JEEP BRAND VEHICLE. OUT OF ALL THE CARS I HAVE HAD THRU THE YEARS THIS JEEP HAS BEEN THE WORST AND DON DAVIS HAS GIVEN ME SOME OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. More
2009 Dodge Ram I was told by the service manager that the motor was locked down and the repair would be $11,000. Yet when I had the vehicle towed to my niece's hou I was told by the service manager that the motor was locked down and the repair would be $11,000. Yet when I had the vehicle towed to my niece's house her husband started it and told me that it wasn't locked down, that it had thrown a rod. And he has been a mechanic for a long time. The extended warranty didn't cover all repairs, When I bought truck 10 month ago, I thought it was bumper to bumper, my bad. Long repair time cost me additional 150$ for rental. My misunderstanding on my warranty made me bias and about overall experience. Good stuff, Mary in service was very understanding, 1 service manager called me cause I was over charged, having paid for core part and Enterprise charged me for full rental anf he took care of refunds, and gave me 10% off repair. Only thing I didn't like about him, was when I met him, he shook my hand, and went right back to doing what he was doing with out even looking up. Maybe that's due to finding mistakes, good for him, finding mine. More
