The Service Department at Classic Honda of Midland Deserves a 1 Star only for the fact that they agreed to look at my car the next day rather than the standard two weeks from now as with other Mechani Deserves a 1 Star only for the fact that they agreed to look at my car the next day rather than the standard two weeks from now as with other Mechanics in Midland, TX. I was charged $190 for a diagnostics which consisted of me telling them that the car needed a new head gasket which is what their diagnostics came back with. However, instead of pricing a head gasket replacement, they tried telling me it was less expensive, as in $8275, to trade the motor out of this car for a motor out of a lower valued L Series Honda with 30,000 more miles on it than the K20Z3 motor that we currently have. Obviously a scam, I was born under a rock but it wasn't yesterday that I was born under that rock. I've come to expect this from most mechanics in Midland, TX but not from HONDA! Eddie tell your buddy that he won't be getting an upgraded motor and also tell you service department they won't be making $8275 off of me. I hope the $190 "Diagnostic Fee" was worth it because I will be writing a review everywhere I can and I will not be referring ANYONE TO CLASSIC HONDA OF MIDLAND! More
