I did alot of research on the new Hyundai Sonata before entering the dealership. I had previous looked at it at another dealership, however I did not get a welcoming experience. My friend suggested Tysingerand I'm glad that I decided to try them. My vehicle had broken down a week before I was not planning on purchasing a new vehicle. I inquired online and I was contacted By Bobby L. Walters, Jr. right away. Bobby was very outgoing and informative about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata. He answered all of my questions (I had many) and if he did not have the answer he made sure he found the answer without hesitation. Bobby was not a pushy salesman however he catered to my desires in what I was looking for in a vehicle. I was even surprised when he he gave me a followup call to see how I was doing with my new vehicle. When it came down to the price, the sales manager was able to come within the price I was looking to pay. My new 2011 Hyundai Sonata has all the features I was looking for and more. Everyone that I had contact with was professional and friendly. I have recommended several of my friends to this dealership based on my car buying experience. More
I purchased a used 2005 Mercedes C230 from Tysinger Mercedes. My salesman's name was Michael Burgess, Mr. Burgess was very friendly however he did not always do what he told me he would do. I have had nothing but issue after issue with a car that I have owned for a little over a month. The car had some preexisting minor issues such as loose door handle, broken cigarette lighter, and broken disc changer. The door handle has been repaired and so has the lighter. I just had my car towed to Tysinger this morning because it won't start. Over the past 5-6 wks since the purchase of my vehicle I have been in contact with Delano from service, and he has been absolutely wonderful. I have also had the pleasure of working with Michael Roberts, and he is a definite asset to Tysinger. At some point during the last few weeks I spoke with Myles about issues concerning my car and he told me he was having a hectic day that particular day and asked if I would give him a reminder call in the morning. I called Myles the next and day and for a week following that and never received a return call. I then spoke with Keith McCollough, Keith told me he would have Mr. Burgess give me a call before close of business that day. I never received a call from Mr. Burgess or Keith. I called Mr. Burgess a couple of days later and he stated he was never told to call me. During one of my many visits to Tysinger's service dept I found my glove compartment on floor of the front passengers side. I was told by Delano in service that the glove compartment was broken prior to my purchase and sales declined to fix it. Delano then talked to Keith and Keith told Delano to find out the price of the part and let him know how much it would cost. I waited in the lobby while Delano did the price check and called Keith back. Keith sent another employee out to speak with me, to tell the glove compartment would be fixed. Keith never acknowledged me with so much as a hello, or an apology for the inconvenience. I understand that I was not purchasing a brand new mercedes but I am a paying customer, and I expect to be treated in the same manner the employees at Tysinger would want to be treated. I am very disappointed and frustrated with the employees ( with the exception of Myles and Michael Roberts)and service of Tysinger.I have been to the Tysinger service dept on several occasions over the past few weeks and I am still with out a car. as I previously stated my car had to be towed to Tysinger this morning and I am awaiting a call to tell me what this is going to cost me. Shame on you Tysinger Motors, you are a reputable Mercedes dealer and you are selling people inadequate vehicles. I plan to tell everyone that will listen about my experience with Tysinger in an effort to keep them from doing business with this company. More

I was just driving by and figured I would stop in to see what Mercedes Benz used cars they had. I saw one listed on the internet weeks before stopping by which I liked. Fortunately the car I saw on the internet was still on the lot. Greg Montie found the car on the lot and brought it to the showroom area for me to review. Before the test drive he was very informative of the car begining under the hood and ending in the trunk. He gave me all of the safety information available on the vehicle and also the car fax from the previous owners maintenance history. The test drive went well and thought this car was all I was looking for. During the negotiations we were close on a price where I felt comforatble. Before agreeing to the price and purchasing the car I did one final inspection and found the front tires to be more worn than the rear. After another negotiation session I was given two new front tires to close the deal. The saleman and the sales manager both worked aggresively togehter to make the deal work for both of us and therefore I would recommend this dealership to friends and family. Very Satisifed!!!! More
My experience was excellent with the sales person, management, pricing, and financing. They found the vehicle that I was looking for, Santa Fe, with amazing speed...and exactly as I requested. Since I did not want to spend a lot of time in the dealer listening to the sales pitch, I pretty much did my homework through Internet. Then I requested the price online from both Hall Newport News and Tysinger Motors. Hall never came back to me. John Strickler responded in less than 30 minutes. After few email exchanges, I was done with my shopping. He answered all the questions I fired at him very promptly. He even found the car of the color of my choice that I did not see in their website inventory. I've searched through other Hyundai dealers but the price was as low as you can get. He even allowed me to take the car with me for couple days since the finance manager was not available at the time I asked for. Once I got there to sign the paper, there was no surprise at all. Everything was in accordance with our email exchange down to the dollar. Of course, I ended up buying premium protection service with routine maintenance package but it was my choice after the finance manager explained those additional services available in a very cordial manner. I could have very well said no to any of those without any pressure, but I considered those options and felt the need for the lowest option because I mean to keep the car until the tires fall off the car. My new car buying experience with Tysinger Motors cannot be any better. More
I had recently had an accident, so I was in no hurry to purchase another vehicle, thanks to the excellent bus service here in Hampton. However, I began my search by checking out the cars that were locally around where I lived on Wednesday. Toyota, Honda and Ford dealers were all within walking distance or a short bus ride. I found a Honda a liked, but my heart was with Hyundai because of the outstanding cars I owned (since 2002) and the great service I received. So I contacted Tysinger on Friday after some internet searching and asked about a 2007 Tuscon. Willaim greeted me with the kindness of a grandfather and seemed to be knowledgeable about the product and related products. I gave him my criteria for buying a car including the price and he said he would check and get back to me. True to his word, he called me back and told me the Tuscon was out of my range but he had a 2006 Kia Sportage that would address all of my concerns. We set up a meeting for Friday and within a short time after seeing the vehicle I was sold. William coordinated with Mike, the finance manager, and he really worked with me to put me in that vehicle. We signed most of the documents that Friday and setup the next day for the pick up. Saturday I arrived with my plates in-hand, and drove away with my car. Bravo Zulu and thanks to the entire Tysinger team for their excellent customer service and seamless manner in which they moved me from one representative to another. I was immediately contacted by Tysinger sales Rep, John Strickler, and agreed to a purchase very quickly. The salesman was very helpful and informative and I picked up my new car the next day. There were several Hyundai dealers much closer than Tysinger but John was the first to contact me and offered what I thought was a fair price. More
