They try to accommodate the customer and are easy to work with I was looking for a new Escape, I found what I was looking for on Classic Ford's website. On Friday, I went to the dealership and inquired about a new car and asked for a quote. I was offered a rebate of $1500 and 0% interest rate if I qualified - there might be more rebates if I qualified for them (which I did not - i.e. member armed forces, first responder etc.). I agreed to the quoted price with a $1500 rebate, 0% interest, and bottom line price. When I went to sign the financial agreement, I was told that the sales manager had increased the price of the car but had found a rebate. The finance manager did not understand what the sales manager was doing and told me this. My wife and I signed the paper work and went home. We would pick up the new car on Saturday. On Saturday morning- I gave the sales agreement a look over and decided that the sales manager had boosted the price $500.00 and then gave me an additional $500.00 rebate. It appears that there was a bonus rebate that I was available to me. I went to see the finance manager before picking up the new car and explained to him that this was not the right way to do business. He rewrote the sales contract taking $500.00 off the bottom line ,adjusted the sales tax due and deleted and destroyed the original giving me the extra rebate I was entitled to. More
