They understood I had a child and could not sit at a dealership to pick out a car. I was able to have everything handled via email. Rico went out of his way to pick the perfect car and have the car ready to go as soon as I came to sign the papers. He was very knowledgable about the car and helpful. Mr. Humphrey's was very kind and quick with getting the paperwork ready for signatures. This was much appreciated with working on a tight schedule. I have never worked with a dealership that made leasing a car and trading in a car so easy. I will recommend Rico and this dealership to everyone! More
I did all of the price negotiating for the truck online, so it went very smooth from that perspective. We did disagree on what my trade in was worth, but we resolved that as well. Justin was great to work so it went very smooth from that perspective. We did disagree on what my trade in was worth, but we resolved that as well. Justin was great to work with; he was knowledgeable about the product and was able to answer all of our questions. Overall the experience was good, but it did take close to five hours start to finish, which seemed a bit much. Other than the trade and time, I have no complaints. I got a great deal on the truck I wanted. More
My experience at Classic Ford Lincoln of Columbia was wonderful. I was looking for an automatic car that did not have power locks and windows because the last car I drove literally locked me inside and I wonderful. I was looking for an automatic car that did not have power locks and windows because the last car I drove literally locked me inside and I had to get somebody to get me out. I looked at several dealerships and many of them tried to say that they weren't making those types of vehicles anymore or they disregarded my feelings and tried to sell me a car with power locks and windows anyway. Classic Ford Lincoln of Columbia on the other hand really listened to me and they worked with me to find a car that was comfortable, safe, and reliable for me. I also appreciated the fact that they worked very hard to get my monthly payments down to a number that I can feel good about and that I was able to buy my first car without having a co-signer. At the end of the day, I would (and will) highly recommend this dealership to my friends, family, co-workers, and anybody I come across that is looking for a car because they won't hassle you, they are not trying to entice you to come in with deals that sound unbelievable, and they really do their best to make sure you find the vehicle you really feel comfortable with. I didn't think I'd walk out of the Ford dealership with a car the day I went to look at the cars, but Andrew was a great salesperson. He didn't hassle me into buying anything and told me ju dealership with a car the day I went to look at the cars, but Andrew was a great salesperson. He didn't hassle me into buying anything and told me just the facts, giving me a chance to decide for myself whether I wanted a Ford without feeling like I was pressured into it at any time. More
When you purchase a used car and only 1 key is provided it's disappointing when you have to spend an additional $100.00 for the key AND programming. Since these keys have microchips one can not just have it's disappointing when you have to spend an additional $100.00 for the key AND programming. Since these keys have microchips one can not just have one made. Aside from that one gripe and the fact that we were not told we have a $100.00 deductible on the extended warranty all went VERY WELL. This is why people hate car dealerships (April 3rd 2013). I bought a pre-owned 2012 Ford Explorer from Classic Ford (Greystone Blvd., Columbia SC Wife went nuts…thinks I shouldn’t have…very mad, very d I bought a pre-owned 2012 Ford Explorer from Classic Ford (Greystone Blvd., Columbia SC Wife went nuts…thinks I shouldn’t have…very mad, very depressed…very anxious (literally, Adivan anxious) Tried to return the vehicle the next day…dealership says it’s a done deal and I cannot back out of the deal. My fault for being stupid. My fault for not including my wife from beginning to end…not just the middle. I’m an idiot! I got that. My questions are: Should the mistake be fatal? Should the dealership let me out of the deal? Am I stuck with a $30,000 mistake? Definitely not how I thought I was going to feel after purchasing this vehicle. The bottom line is that I think my wife is right. Although I feel less than a man right now for not being able to buy a car if I want…, it’s going to affect her too. I offered the dealership the option of charging me for any costs incurred, getting my trade back (too soon for anything to be done with it on their end), and we part friends with the vow that I will eventually buy a car from them…with my wife by my side. I was told they have a “no return policy”. I know they can. It is their discretion. They just won’t. I don’t understand that. If a customer changes his or her mind within 24 hours, shouldn’t they be able to back out of the deal? Especially if the customer is willing to pay whatever costs were incurred by the dealer? Why wouldn’t a dealer do that? I don’t want just a customer’s point of you here. I want a dealer’s point of view as well. Hoping to live to fight another day. Signed, New car. No home! More
Received a telephone call asking if I was interested in trading in my existing 2010 Explore Sports Trac. Was told they are high in demand. You never know unless you ask, so I looked around and like the 201 trading in my existing 2010 Explore Sports Trac. Was told they are high in demand. You never know unless you ask, so I looked around and like the 2013 Escape. Working with Rico Gibson and Classic Ford I was in fact able to trade in my 2010 Sports Trac and drive away in a new 2013 Escape. Great overall experience, receive a fair trade-in price for the Sports Trac as well as a excellent price on the new Escape. I walked away as a very satisfied customer. More
