-To begin, we started working with Ricky. We test drove some cars, got a value for our trade, and everything was ok. He wasn’t pushy. Fast forward a few days and we were shopping around with other dealers. We returned to Classic and Ricky was busy and handed us off to Greg. Greg was straightforward and answered our questions. We felt we got fair value for our trade and we made a deal. The battery in the car would not hold a charge, so they replaced it. The car we bought was certified used. -Next, working with Jim in finance. This is when things started to turn. We understand that dealers need to make money and that comes from selling add ons. We told Jim and Greg upfront we were not interested in an extended warranty. We were burned from another dealer's warranty that wouldn’t cover a transmission. We told them this but they were very pushy with trying to sell it. At one point when we were in the office Jim was irritated we weren’t going to buy an extended warranty. He said “All our team members buy them, I cannot believe you won't buy the warranty.” We should’ve walked then. - A week after the purchase we realize they never ran our credit card for the down payment. We also realize the car shutters when it accelerates from 10-30 mph. We take into Classic Chevy Madison. We make an appointment and they dont look at the car for three days. Finally we hear back and they said they are going to drain the transmission. We get the car back a day later. - A few days later we hear from Aubrey about our downpayment. She insists on sending someone to our house to pick up the payment. We tell her no, we will mail you a check and do the next day or so. -Ricky now is back in the picture and texts us asking about our downpayment. We responded to him about how we aren't happy with how finance treated us and how the car is in the shop. He never responds back. Crickets. - The following week we got a call that they never received our check. Aubrey is insistent to send someone else to our house to get a check and we tell her no. Our car is still shuttering and is now back in service at Classic Chevy Madison. Aubrey texts back about us canceling the check we sent. We tell her we want to speak to Jim Brown and she calls us instantly. Aubrey has been communicating with us all through text. She tells my wife she called us numerous times about the payment. She never called once. Just text messages about the payment. She was very unprofessional. - The next day our car is still in service and hasn’t been looked at. The GM Jeremy calls and is condescending to my wife on the phone right off the bat. He says that they need payment and could you send in a check. We told him no, we sent a check in and it's not our fault the mail never delivered it. We said what if you get both checks and cash them he said they would never. They somehow let us walk out without paying. We had our credit card ready when they took our drivers license to make copies. The level of incompetence at the dealership, the serviice center is outrageous. Jeremy did take off our first month's payment. Our car is still at the service center after sitting for 9 DAYS with no communication. We have made one car payment, paid the downpayment and still don’t have the car and the temp tags expired. The car has been in the service center more than it has been in our driveway. - Car has been at Classic Madison for over two weeks. It needs a torque converter. It was supposed to be done by 8/13 and still hasn’t been looked at. It is supposed to be done by 8/17. More
