Buyers Beware of this dealership especially when driving from out of town. I came in to see a certified Cadillac Escalade ESV. The car had many issues and when I brought it to their attention, Steve Brown from out of town. I came in to see a certified Cadillac Escalade ESV. The car had many issues and when I brought it to their attention, Steve Brown would not even discuss them with me. He told me it was an as is car and that's what I get, as is. I had to remind him the vehicle was not as is but was a certified vehicle that is suppose to have gone through a 175 point inspection and reconditioning process. Finally he asked me if I had ever heard of Carmax and insisted that this dealership operated like Carmax and did not negotiate. On my way home I let the salesman know how upset I was and he had the Director of Sales, Liam Bennet reach out to me. Liam was immediately great. He wanted time to inspect the car and get back to me. Eventually he did and agreed the car had issues and wanted to fix them. He even let me know he was looking into how this car got through their service department as a certified vehicle. Eventually Liam made me an offer to purchase the car at a discounted price. I made a counter offer of a slightly larger discount with also having the two biggest issues fixed. Liam quickly agreed to my counter offer, and in my eyes we had a deal. The next day Liam called me to let me know the repairs were in progress. After no response from Liam the following day, I started to get worried. I then went to the Classic Cadillac website and noticed the car was no longer active. I called Liam with no response and then emailed him again. Finally around 5:30 or so he called me back to inform me he had sold the car to someone else. He immediately got defensive that we never had a deal and his dealership had done nothing wrong. It is now obvious that he was no better than Mr. Brown, but was just trying to save a sale and or a bad review. I initially thought he was a good person genuinely trying to right a wrong his company had made. Man was I wrong. Of course he did not offer to help in any way to make things right. I guess they were just chasing a sale, and once the car sold they could care less about me. Also to note, none of the issues of the vehicle were noted on their website, nor did they tell me about any of them before I drove 2.5 hours. They even sent me a video that carefully avoided the damage. One of the defects was the rear bumper was wrecked. Please save yourself the time and trouble and avoid this dealership at all costs! When the vehicle arrived at the dealership David did a great job of presenting the vehicle and also patient in answering my questions. The deal was exactly what they had promised on the phone. Once the preliminary paperwork was finished, I worked with Ray Roundtree in finance to finish the paperwork. He was great to work with. He was also patient and answered my questions concisely. He went over several options for additional protection options for the vehicle, but was never pushy. I have communicated with him once after the deal was completed, and he quickly responded and got me an answer for the question. They also did a good job of going over the vehicle basics before I left. This dealership is top notch! This was my first purchase here, but it won't be my last. More
