75,000 mile check up and oil change Everything went well except for the fact that I requested a Key to be here at the time of my appointment, and Citywide had run out of the keys...I had Everything went well except for the fact that I requested a Key to be here at the time of my appointment, and Citywide had run out of the keys...I had to return (1 hour RT) to receive my key a few days later. An inconvenience, that's all. Otherwise, Nick was very nice and helpful. More

Very helpful, easy, appreciated drop off service. Noticed car was leaking some fluid. Thought maybe related to recent 60K service. Called, described and time was made for me the next day. Needed Noticed car was leaking some fluid. Thought maybe related to recent 60K service. Called, described and time was made for me the next day. Needed a drop off back home -- that service was great and made it all so easy. Turned out to be a gasket seal leak - fixed no charge and fluid topped off. Perfect. More

They fixed a problem quickly and at no cost My car was fixed even though I did not have an appointment and they were very busy. I left it there overnight and have not had a problem since then. The Service d I have bought two cars from Citywide and have them both serviced there. Our 2009 Impreza lost all its' oil resulting in an engine seize. The Service department at Citywide went to bat for me with Subaru America and we got a totally new engine essentially for no fee. Cityside goes to great lengths to satisfy their customers. I recommend them highly. I have a great relationship with Zander in service and trust him without question. More
Misleading and Deceptive Service Recommendation I was told that my brakes were "down to 10%" and needed to be replaced (written recommendation: "rotors are rusted and pitted. Technician recommends n I was told that my brakes were "down to 10%" and needed to be replaced (written recommendation: "rotors are rusted and pitted. Technician recommends new front brake pads and rotors $450"). My personal mechanic subsequently reported that the brakes were down to 33%, not 10%, were not rusted or pitted, and did not need to be replaced at this time (they were replaced by him in 2012). Same for the dealer service dept. recommendation that the "front transmission cooler hoses and hard line are leaking $490." My mechanic found no leak, but clamped the hoses secure, assuring me that no other action was needed. These aren't differences of opinion; my view is that this was an attempt by the service department to charge me for unnecessary work; put another way, rip me off. I reviewed both repair recommendations with the service department before I left with my vehicle, and have carefully reviewed this matter with my local mechanic, and can come to no other conclusion. For the record, the dealer's recommendation to replace the front sway bar was correct, and the heat shield and alternator belt were replaced with no problem. But I could have been soaked for $940 if I had not conducted my own due diligence. That's unacceptable, and almost a parody of what most people believe is the problem with a dealer's service department: scam artists preying on the uninformed. More
