We test drove both using Zipcar and decided to go with a Subaru Impreza. We currently have a 2005 Subaru Impreza, bought used and haven't had any problems with it at all. We've even had it serviced at Cityside and been satisfied there. With that in mind, we got our VIP certificate through my company and headed over to Cityside. Micahel Nelson sat down with us, went through the options we were looking for and looked up appropriate cars. He was especially helpful in letting us know about some special models available that would save us quite a bit of money while getting us some features such as the all-weather package and a sun-roof. Once we had settled on a particular car, Michael worked with us through all the paperwork and we were done in a short amount of time. A couple days later we picked up the car without a problem and have been enjoying it since. We are very happy with the experience we had with Michael and would certainly recommend him to our family and friends, as well as you. More
I purchased a new Impreza from Cityside. The buying experience was very good. Michael was very helpful with information regarding the car and various options. This is a great dealership to buy a Subaru from. The staff could certainly be a little bit more accommodating and friendly but that wasn't too big of a deal. When our 2003 wagon finally "expired" (CitySide’s excellent repair staff helped us get to 226K with her), there was no question where we would be shopping for our next car. Prepped with hours of internet searching, my husband and I walked into the dealer on cold, dark Monday evening to do some first-hand research. I consider myself to be a cream puff in the negotiation department and was nervous that I would let us be talked into buying something that night. However, our sales person, Michael Nelson, actually let us ask all our internet research-generated questions, grieve our old car by telling many stories unrelated to the task at hand, and showed us whatever could be seen by the interior dome light in several cars out on the lot on a frigid January night with polite, engaged professionalism. Far from being talked into buying something that night, I felt both relieved and confident that this was going to be a good experience. There is more pressure to buy at Dunkin’ Donuts than CitySide. We came back on the weekend to do some test driving, and while the dealership got increasingly busy while we were there, Michael set us up with several test drives, and made sure that we were taken care at all times. At the last minute, we veered from our original plan, and test-drove a different model/year, which ended up being the car we bought. We really appreciated that Michael’s goal was for us to get the car we wanted, not just to make a sale, and that we left that day knowing we had the best car at the best price possible. We had a great first experience with Michael, one of many positive interactions with CitySide Subaru. More
I just purchased a new Subaru Outback at CitySide Subaru. The experience was as positive as any I've had in purchasing a car, new or used. Mark Lidano is the go to guy here. He is a kind ,softspoken and very patient salesperson. A rare find in a car dealership ! He is well informed about all aspects of the Subaru models he shows ,as well as the comparitve models of other brands ( no negative spin on the other brands, just the facts/ specs). I did a lot of research and price comparisons and felt City Side was fair and honest in their negotiations. They really did try to put you in the car you were looking for without the high pressure tactics I saw in other dealerships . Mark let me know what was available and described in detail the cost each item ,package, or added service and how it could or could not be of benenfit in my specific situation. If I said "no" , I can't afford, don't want or need that it was respected. Once we arrived on a car and price the follow through was excellent right through to my driving it off the lot. Mark made sure we were helped through financing ,service, and every detail of how the Outback worked. No "ok, deal done your outta here" in this dealership ! Everyone I came in contact with at CitySide was helpful, when you walked in someone always was available with a " Can I help you,let me get your salesperson." The dealership as a whole seems very efficient, no hanging around waiting for things to happen. If you had an appointment , ie: for a test drive, your car was cleaned off, started and warmed (no small feat on the 2 snowy days I was there). Thanks City Side ( especially Mark). So kinda and professional that I would take time to write this! Not pushy, not sketchy....not like other dealers! Will definitely use Cityside Subaru for all future maintenance and Subaru purchases. I purchased a 2010 Outback from Cityside which I am delighted with. I had not bought a car for over 10 years and had never owned a Subaru before so there was a great deal of technology and functionalit delighted with. He was friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He spent alot of time with me to understand how I use my vehicle and what capabilities were important to me. It was clear Michael knew the product line well. He rode with me as I test drove several variations of the Outback until I found the one that was right for me. Incidentally, my purchase occurred just after the 2009 "Cash for Clunkers" program and Michael was even able to tell me which colors and options could be obtained the quickest. A very sincere and likable man. No pressure whatsoever. I am happy with my car and my purchasing experience at Cityside. More
