Going into this process, I was a little bit nervous. I'd never gone through the car-buying process before and I wasn't sure what to expect. Peter and the guys at Cityside really put my fears to rest. Ever never gone through the car-buying process before and I wasn't sure what to expect. Peter and the guys at Cityside really put my fears to rest. Everyone was incredibly helpful, and Peter couldn't have been friendlier. He knew exactly which car I wanted and set me up for a test drive within about five minutes. The car drove great, and when I got back it was just a question of where I should sign. Moreover, they located the exact car I wanted (since the color I wanted wasn't at the dealer the first day I went) within just a few days, FAR sooner than expected. Every experience should be this easy, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the result. More
Went to Cityside Subaru in Belmont, MA looking for a new car. Sales person's name was Peter. He showed us what we wanted to see on two different days; didn't highball/lowball/ragtime/pressure us at any ti car. Sales person's name was Peter. He showed us what we wanted to see on two different days; didn't highball/lowball/ragtime/pressure us at any time; negotiated a price in a professional, reasonable, and good-humored manner; and we bought a car. Without aggravation. A miracle! He/they should give lessons in how to do business and treat customers. There are some dealers in the Metrowest area who could sure use some schooling. But these guys don't. Thank you, Cityside - and you too, Peter! More
excellent experience! Peter listened to what we were looking for and didn't press us to buy things we weren't interested in. Instead of shopping around for the best price we went with the best customer looking for and didn't press us to buy things we weren't interested in. Instead of shopping around for the best price we went with the best customer experience. The show room is nice without being over the top. More

My fiance and I made our first Subaru purchase, a 2010 Forester, at Cityside Subaru with Mark Lidano. We visited a closer Subaru dealer in Wakefield, Massachusetts before going to Cityside Subaru in Belm Forester, at Cityside Subaru with Mark Lidano. We visited a closer Subaru dealer in Wakefield, Massachusetts before going to Cityside Subaru in Belmont, but the first dealership didn't know their products and were generally unprepared and a bit rude. Mark Lidano at Cityside Subaru made us feel very welcome and addressed all of our concerns. He knew every detail about the car, every knob and button, and pointed out details we otherwise would not have noticed. He did not try to upsell us to a more expensive vehicle, trim level, or even any options. I might add that we first visited Cityside in the late summer of 2009, actually buying a Forester about 7 months later. Mark was patient with us throughout the whole process and was not pushy. We must have test driven the Forester four or five times. We ended up getting the car for just a few hundred over invoice, and it went so smoothly I am still wondering if I offered too much. Cityside is selling the most Subarus in the area for a reason - I say check them out even if they are not the closest dealer to where you live. More
We went to CitySide because it was conveniently located and we were interested in a small AWD car. Michael Nelson was very pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable about the Impreza models, and had no problem and we were interested in a small AWD car. Michael Nelson was very pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable about the Impreza models, and had no problem with our long and winding test drive. We came in thinking we wanted the Outback Sport, but when we described what options we really wanted he suggested the less expensive 2.5i Premium -- bonus points for that. Shopped on Tuesday, drove the car home on Friday. There were a couple of annoying aspects to the process, but they are probably not under the dealer's control. First, we couldn't get a best-and-final price from them -- we had to make an offer. This method of haggling left us thinking we could have gotten a better deal. Second, we got a very low price for our trade-in. Third, the standard warranties don't show much manufacturer confidence in their product, and the optional extra-cost extended warranties (and special treatment for protecting the paint!) seem like high-margin add-ons that shouldn't be necessary. We've had the car for one day and it's working fine so far. After reading an earlier review, I guess I should check the tire pressure. More
I can't believe that I am actually writing a review about a car dealer, but the conduct of Rob Krasow is worth pointing out to all car shoppers as a public service. (I wish I read this site before conta a car dealer, but the conduct of Rob Krasow is worth pointing out to all car shoppers as a public service. (I wish I read this site before contacting a dealer, tell your car shopping friends about it.) Rob is a great find. He was honest, direct, intelligent and very easy to deal with over email and phone. He provided a fast, clear quote and was eager to help me save a couple of hundred dollars over another dealer. Had the new local dealer not been in such an easy to reach location I would have called Rob Krasow first and likely would have made a good purchase from him. I strongly encourage people to consider calling or emailing him. He was not 'your father's car salesman'. More

We were very pleased with our experience at Cityside Subaru. Michael Nelson is a great salesman: a very informed guy, who is down to earth with a no pressure approach. Mark is low key, patient informative and not overly salesy or pushy, which was much appreciated (he also has a great test-drive route!). The rest of the team at Cityside (we dealt with both Alan and Mike) was very friendly and accommodating to our schedule. Thanks for making the overall experience a good one! More
