Mark Lidano -Best Car Buying Experience in 30 Years Looking for a Subaru Outback, I called or emailed multiple dealers in the area. I didn't want to negotiate, I just wanted to make a deal. I researched what a fair price would be, and took it to each dealer. Some played games, some tried to sell me something they already had on the lot. A friend mentioned CitySide, and I called them last. Mark Lidano answered the phone and within 2 minutes we had an agreement. Completely professional and knowledgable. I went in the next day and in about 30 minutes was all set (for reference, the day before I spent over 2 hours at another metrowest dealership and had to get up and begin to walk out before I could get their "best price"). Mark was pleasant and polite to us. He knows the ins and outs of selling cars. No wasted time or energy. He had complete respect for his customers. I was told by other dealers it would take a few weeks to get the car we wanted because of the model-year change over. Mark called me the next and said he had already arranged to have my car on his lot, so when did I want to pick it up. I can't remember a better experience in buying a new car. No nonsense straightforward buying experience I was purchasing a company vehicle for myself, and I had a strict budget and specific guidelines that I was working under. The day that I made my purchase I had visited 4 different dealers. Cityside was my last stop of the day, oh how I wish it was my first! The other dealers had me test drive the car I wanted, went through all the smoke and mirrors of "talking to their manager", only to come back trying to sell me a Base Legacy, which to me was a complete waste of time. My budget could buy a Base Trim level anywhere. I clearly explained my situation to Junior, and explained my hope to potentially get into a Premium Legacy vs. the Base trim, which I knew was tough considering the budget I was working with. Junior heard me out, and asked me one very simple question, "If I can put you in a Premium Legacy today, will you end your shopping here at Cityside?" My simple answer was "Yes". Junior related to my situation, and delivered what I was looking for. He has a great personality, which makes him easy to speak with. I live in Norwood, MA, so Cityside is not my hometown dealer, but I would strongly recommend traveling to Belmont to see Junior at Cityside if you are in the market for a Subaru! More
