Not feeling like a valued customer Absolutely horrible experience. Not once did I feel like a valued customer. It is clear the moment that you walk into the dealership that there i Absolutely horrible experience. Not once did I feel like a valued customer. It is clear the moment that you walk into the dealership that there is tension among the employees. They yell at each other from across the showroom floor and are snippy when speaking with each other. I was given a fairly decent price for a brand new 2014 Sonata but at no point did I feel like a valued customer. No one was friendly. The manager stared at us when we walked in and didn't say two words until he wanted to see my trade in. Still no introduction/handshake. Very rude. Took entirely too long to process the paperwork. I left and asked that they call me to follow up and they never called me back. I called three times the next day and left my contact information with the receptionist who never passed along my message to the salesperson (when I finally walked back in a few days later he let me know he never got my messages). It was an extremely disappointing experience and not once did I feel like a valued customer. Absolutely would not recommend working with City World Hyundai for any reason. If I didn't call them constantly they would not have a sale. Find a friendlier dealer who will follow through with you. More
Liars and untrustworthy I came here because there is a recall on the sub-frame of my 2003 Hyundai Sonata (which would be free for me to replace at Hyundai's service center) a I came here because there is a recall on the sub-frame of my 2003 Hyundai Sonata (which would be free for me to replace at Hyundai's service center) and I spoke with Anna on the phone several times who assured me that the entire replacement process would take a few hours on the day of my visit. I asked if I should bring the car by before my appointment so they could look at it and order to required part so that it was in the shop by the day of my appointment, but she said that there was no need for that because the part would be ready when I brought it in. I was skeptical, but I called her back the next day to confirm everything, and she assured me they'd be able to service the vehicle on the day that we made the appointment for. Then, on the day of my appointment the service men let me know that they will need to order the part and because it's almost Memorial Day weekend they don't know how long it would take to arrive, then they turn around and told me my flex pipe and muffler need to be replaced for over $450 - which was a flat out LIE (or they're 100% incompetent) because I had my flex pipe replaced just two week prior and they were surprised to learn that; and turned around and said to me, "never mind, we just meant the muffler needs to be replaced." I felt like they were intentionally trying to swindle me, so I left out and headed to another Hyundai service center and had a much better experience. They're crooks - stay away! More
City World Hyundai Service on Zerega Ave in Bronx, NY really disappointed me, On 10/29/13 I had to have it towed there due to having a dead battery. I ended up having to pay a lot more ($419) than origin really disappointed me, On 10/29/13 I had to have it towed there due to having a dead battery. I ended up having to pay a lot more ($419) than originally expected ($148) because they convinced me to add work such as things that were recently done on the car a couple of months prior (air and cabin filter change) and they charged $98.00 although I have coupons for complementary oil change and air filter. They also wanted me to get new brakes and Emission (today 11/19/13 I took it to a Star Hyundai Service in Queens, after they fixed the problem City World made, they did a multipoint inspection and told me that the car is great and I don't have to do anything to it. On 10/30/2013 After getting the car back from City World Hyundai Service the car sounded and drove horribly, the right back light was also not working and the car made a loud whistle noise when accelerating and driving. I no longer trust them and refuse to ever go back, I truly believe they are untrustworthy crooks. Today I took my car over the bridge to Star Hyundai Service in Queens so they can diagnose the car and they found that City World Hyundai left a hose disconnected from inter coolant. I find their (City World Hyundai Service) lack of professionalism very upsetting and a very bad look for Hyundai as a company. More
This is our 2nd experience at this dealership, and we had been so happy, not only have we returned, but we've referred family and friends. The reason we keep returning is because of the wonderful saleswoman been so happy, not only have we returned, but we've referred family and friends. The reason we keep returning is because of the wonderful saleswoman, Danielle Sawyer. She is direct, friendly, thorough and easy to work with. She has made the whole car-buying experience a positive one. HOWEVER, the dealership itself has apparently undergone some management changes--these changes are not for the better, by any means. In the past, the manager made himself known to us and made sure we were in and out of the dealership within an hour from start to finish. The new manager, who we don't even know his name, never made any effort to speak with us directly. Instead, he drew out the process to well over a 3 hour ordeal. It was quite obvious to us how different things are now being run. Previously, this Hyundai dealership went out of its way to set itself apart from all others by not doing what all other dealers do-- there was no haggling or constant back and forth from salesperson to manager. Now, this dealership is just like all the others. There are other dealerships closer to our home. The ONLY reason we would consider returning in the future is for Danielle's continued outstanding service. Her pleasant demeanor, willingness to give us the best deal possible, and her excellent knowledge and loyalty to Hyundai is what makes her the dealership's best asset. If this dealership ever loses Danielle to a competitor, we would gladly follow her to her next dealership. More

I submitted my information online in search of a Hyundai Elantra. I got a very quick response from a number of dealers. Troy Gladden was the only person willing to give me a price in writing via email. I di Elantra. I got a very quick response from a number of dealers. Troy Gladden was the only person willing to give me a price in writing via email. I didn't know how good the price was until I visited a dealer nearer to me (CT). They tried to downplay my price quote and told me that it will not be the real price when I get there which made me leary. After hearing the same thing from 2 other dealers I was very, very, reluctant to visit City World. It was not right around the corner but Troy's price was the lowest that I got. Not only did he honor the price that he quoted me, I did not have to pay the conveyence fee that CT dealers charge. Everyone was very courteous and I left the dealership very quickly with no hassle and no surprises. My time is worth more than anything and City World Hyundai respected that. I would definately recommend them to anyone shopping for a vehicle. More
The General Manager, Jack Swartz, told me to take my business else where after asking questions about the mileage and if there was any damage to a new vehicle. I got a great response from hyundai corporate of USA and eventually got a phone call from the CEO of Hyundai USA in which he is currently helping me find the vehicle I want for the best possible price. They were very fair and honest. Very happy with the service. For example, after we signed and paid for the car we realized the car did not have floor mats because they were extra.
