Worst nightmare I am giving City World Hyundai a zero rating. On Sunday, February 21, 2016, I came to this dealership at approximately 11:30 am. At my initial meeti I am giving City World Hyundai a zero rating. On Sunday, February 21, 2016, I came to this dealership at approximately 11:30 am. At my initial meeting with agent Briant Rosa and Kevin Milan were kind however, that soon became the facade covering the nightmare I was about to endure. At the close of this transaction, I was ready to drive away in my newly leased car at approximately 6:00 pm. Before I drove off, considering that I had never driven an Elantra before, I respectfully asked Mr. Rosa to walk me through how to start the car (do I need to depress the breaks upon starting the engine or whatnot) and the features on the dashboard since a test drive was not offered to me. Growing up in Asia and being a woman, I was raised being passive. Mr. Rosa responded, "What do you want to know?" I was taken aback. Is it not standard for dealers to show new owners the features of any car that is being sold or leased? Nonetheless, he showed me a couple of things then I drove off. After I made my way home, I realized that I did not have the temporary proof of car insurance which Mr. Rosa was uploading from their computer system. He neglected to hand it to me. Then as I attempted to retrieve the manual from the glove compartment, I realized that I did not have one nor a spare key. Due to all of these discoveries, I had to skip work the following day in order to return to the dealership first thing in the morning, to retrieve these items. Eventually, I got hold of the manual and a spare key. I also had another concern and this was about my monthly rate. It was expressed to me that if I have a co-borrower, my rate can be lowered. I thought about it and decided to bring in one who has a FICO score of well over 800. Mr. Rosa approached the financial representative to make sure if the financial papers were still available and haven't been submitted yet. Was lucky enough, the papers were still pending. The financial representative ran a credit check and confirmed that my co-borrower has an excellent score. It was after this, I was told that my co-borrower could not co-sign because we do not share the same address. This was not disclosed to us prior to the credit run. The financial representative further offered that the monthly rate could be lowered by naming my co-borrower alone. I decided to bring my concern to a higher office. Once home, I discovered that I was given the wrong manual and wrong spare key. I was disgusted. The following days, I spent time calling the dealership to express my dismay at what should have been a simple process. A customer pays and the dealership provides. Simple as that. On day 4, for the second time I returned to the dealership to retrieve the correct manual and spare key as well as to follow up on items that were promised to me such as cargo net and wheel locks. I also asked to speak with the general manger, Jose Blanco who obliged to see me. I brought up to him all of the above. He told me that Mr. Rosa had just began work one week ago. Mr. Blanco did not bother to apologize, instead, he focused on his computer screen as I expressed my concerns. He informed me that a co-borrower needs to have the same address as the borrower. I asked him if that is a new US law that I am not aware of. He further stated that it is a Hyundai regulation. Aside from already having difficulty in getting my message across, I was offended that Mr. Blanco was being dismissive by not looking at me. I asked him if this is the way he entertains his customers. He responded, looking at me this time, sounding upset saying, "I am taking care of your requests" and further stated, "Nobody told you to come here". I was speechless. Then I mustered up the strength to ask him if there was someone else or a telephone number that I could call who wanted to help me. He responded to the effect of, "No, I am it. I am the general manager" As tough as I wanted to be, I was on the verge of crying. I was done. I understand that a dealership has to make a living too, just like the rest of us, but I just need them to be fair and square. It is my right as a customer to receive what is due me and to have any questions answered without a look of "YOU ALREADY SIGNED ON THE BOTTOM LINE, I REALLY DON'T CARE WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW'. In order to prevent any other woman from enduring all of these, I will ensure that all political figures in this county and the surrounding public are made aware how a woman is treated at this dealership.
