This is my second coolant issue, The first was a year ago and they replaced my water pump that failed. The service done this round took some time and they did not provide a loaner, either because they were all out or they didn't have enough. That was frustrating. I/they had issues with their extended warranty policy. They needed my original purchase agreement because they had no record of it? They did try to allude that i might have had to pay for a tear down inspection. Eventually they saw that all my scheduled maintenance from their shop was in order and that did not happen. It took several calls and persistent communication. But in the end they did make me feel appreciated. My review is average. Not bad or good. Great service keeps you coming back. I'm on the fence at this point. More
Very professional. Rush made me feel valued while I am here and prioritizes making things right. Rush made me feel valued while I am here and prioritizes making things right. More
We’ve owned our 2021 Atlas Sport for less than two years. This past weekend, while at my daughter's graduation, the vehicle turned off three times while in motion. I called City Volkswagen of Highland, IN, as soon as they opened to set an appointment to have my vehicle looked at. Initially, the gentleman who answered the phone offered me an appointment for 6/4/2024. Given the nature of the breakdown, I asked if they had anything sooner, and he said they had an opening for Monday, 6/3/2024. I don’t understand why he would first offer me a Tuesday appointment when a Monday slot was available, but that's another story. On 6/3/2024, I arrived at their lot at 6:40 AM and waited 20 minutes to get my vehicle in. After dropping it off, I took the shuttle back to my home. Around noon, I was informed that a new part was needed and that the vehicle would be ready the next day. I asked if they had a loaner vehicle, but I was told no. On 6/4/2024, I cleared my schedule, anticipating that I would be able to retrieve my vehicle. At 1:00 PM, I called to check on the status because I hadn’t heard back from the service department. After being on hold for about 7 or 8 minutes, I was told that the service department wasn’t picking up, so I left a message asking for a callback. Two hours later, having received no call, I called again and finally reached a gentleman named Byron. He was the same person who had assured me the previous day that the vehicle would be ready today. Byron put me on hold for several minutes, then returned to tell me that the part had arrived 20 minutes ago and the vehicle would now be ready on Wednesday. I immediately explained to Byron that this was unacceptable. I told him that I have patients to see and cannot be without a vehicle for another day. I expressed my frustration that nearly an entire day had passed without anyone informing me that the vehicle might not be ready, and I had to call multiple times to get a status update. His response, while not explicitly stated, came across as indifferent. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that no one in charge was available and that the manager wouldn’t be back until Wednesday, and I could expect a call then. We are now entering day three, my vehicle is still not repaired, and I need to pick it up because I have to see my patients. My time has been wasted, and it appears that Volkswagen’s service department has little to no empathy or concern for my time. I’m not sure what has changed in their business practices, but this is not the Volkswagen of Highland that we initially enjoyed working with. More

I will never purchase, go to or deal with City VW in highland ever again. I know they don’t care cause I’m just one customer out of the few hundred thousand but it’s the principle. I had a tire blowout highland ever again. I know they don’t care cause I’m just one customer out of the few hundred thousand but it’s the principle. I had a tire blowout on my car, no biggie I call them to order the tire for me. The tire was around $390 I said ok. They then wanted me to prepay $360. (Mind you I had just purchased this same exact tire from them maybe 6 months prior & DID NOT have to prepay). I asked why when I had just purchased this same tire without prepaying 6 months before. Was there some type of policy change? If I had just purchased this same tire without pre paying 6 months before why wouldn’t I be able do the same this time. It’s not like I can go elsewhere & get the tire for a significantly cheaper price. So eventually I said fine I’ll pre pay. Come to find out they can’t take pre payment over the phone. Never in my life have I heard of or dealt with a “business” that is unable to process payment over the phone. If I can buy a pizza over the phone why can’t I buy a tire from a car dealership? If I’ve already proven that I’m an honest & loyal customer my word should be enough. If you want to make new customers prepay by all means, but as an existing/returning customer who has purchase a brand new car from this dealership & has been to this dealership for service multiple times you’d think I would’ve have developed some sort of “credit” or trust. If you have people who have ordered expensive items & not shown up to purchase it. Then flag their number/acct & make them prepay. Especially if you’re unable to accept pre payment over the phone. Why would I want to drive around with 3 good tires & one donut. I have a brand new 2023 Tiguan, with the purchase of my car I received free oil changes from them. I will not be bringing my car to them for any service. I will drive out of my way, pay out of my pocket & go to the Merrillville VW/Audi dealership who guess what DID NOT MAKE ME PRE PAY FOR THE TIRE. & If they did I’d be willing to bet my bottom dollar they’d accept my hard earned money over the phone. The Merrillville VW/Audi was also able to get the tire delivered 2 days faster, mounted & balanced for cheaper (not by much only $3) then City VW. City VW is a sorry excuse for a dealership who don’t know the meaning of loyalty. I’ll never recommend any family member or friend go there. I wish I could rate them 0 starsd More

They replaced the visor, but forgot to install the plastic trim that attaches with the sunglass visor. The fringe from the fabric started unraveling. They did not complete the job at all. They never double checked their own work to verify everything was 100% satisfactory before returning the vehicle. 3) Then, the mechanics left dirt and grime around the visor and within the fabric. Once they cleaned the driver side area, they completely made a new spot on the passenger side! So they had to bring my vehicle back in to the shop to get cleaned a 3rd time! WITHIN THE SAME HOUR!! Randy, the service manager, tried to make it seem as if "his crew" wouldn't have done a job like that and it probably was the owners wrongdoing. Little did Randy know, I took pictures of the affected areas, prior to bringing my vehicle in. So when Randy tried to pull a fast one on me, and said "the job was complete", I showed him the new dirt and grime "his crew" had made on the passenger side AFTER they cleaned the drive side. That showed me Randy, the SERVICE MANAGER, doesn't even double check "his crew" or the work they're performing. Poor management material to allow "your crew" to finish a job, have the Service Manager return the vehicle back to the owner, and tell the vehicle owner "the job is complete." Randy is not about customer service. He's about numbers! How many cars can he get and get out during his shift to meet his quota. That's his game. More
