Awesome support for tricky insurance repair - VW 2012 Jetta Brayner took this from start to end. Insurance company's shop had overseen the failing AC while doing the body repair. I can only comment on the shoddy treatment I have received at Autobarn Evanston, For what this outfit charges for service and repairs, one would hope that they stand by their products and service especially when the work they've done may contribute to future breakdowns. They steadfastly refuse to even consider that it might be their responsibility. Calling the service care hotline also resulted in a dead end. Their new motto should be "Our hands are tied." More

Worst service department Horrible service. Horrible communication. The only time that any response or callback was given was after a complainted to corporate. They should be a Horrible service. My car had over 100 miles put on it while being worked on. And no explanation as to why. The worst possible place one can ever take their car. Stay away. The service manager Adam didn’t think I deserved an answer for how my car was driven over 100. He claimed to be new there to improve the service yet he sure isn’t. More

Meeting my high expectations. Call Patrick McDonald So, being a previous VW owner I had high expectations that were planted by my previous purchase and service experience. I came to the dealer with the intent of receiving help to find a 2017 Golf Alltrack in a manual transmission. I was met a well groomed, professional that first of all listened to my needs and wants. Patrick McDonald had full knowledge of the product and answered any questions I had in a clear kind manor. Very engaging, I must add , a warm genuine soul. I knew I would have to wait for my auto to be located thru that time Patrick stayed in contact with me and presented the updates as they happened. June my Alltrack arrived and I had purchased a Home Link rearview mirror. Well, the wrong one arrived at the dealership, not a problem Patrick came up with a solution right away. I had moved to another town in central IL thru the timing of the purchase of my car. Where there is a VW dealer. So Patrick had the rearview mirror shipped to my home then I could have it installed at the local VW dealer. Not so much, the local dealer was not the best in stepping up to the plate (another story). A couple of months passed by trying to get the installation done locally, I thru the towel in and drove the 200 miles back to talk to Patrick with mirror in hand. As soon as I walked into the showroom Patrick stopped what he was doing and greeted me with a warm welcome and asked me how things were personally and with the Alltrack. Also, asked about the rearview mirror. Once I explained what was going on once again Patrick took control of the situation. scheduled with the service dept time to install the rear view. 24 hours later I'm driving home installation complete. I would also like to thank Adam Findley for squeezing me in at such short notice and also keeping me updated on the progress thru the installation.
