I would say that it was a great experience overall. Before going into the City Kia I had bad impression about them, especially after reading other reviews. But now I can say that it was the opposite. I walked there with an appointment and was greeted by J. Abreu Marte who was very friendly and patient. He was able to deal with me with no hassle and I was able to get the car with my planned budget. Thank you for the excellent services. More
I recently bought a soul at City Kia. I was aware of the prices for the Souls because I had shopped them so when the purchase price presented was higher I actually thought I was purchas I was aware of the prices for the Souls because I had shopped them so when the purchase price presented was higher I actually thought I was purchasing a better trim model. When the car was demonstrated and after I drove for a while I realized that it was the basic trim model with just a few functions. I couldn't figure out what the extra $3000 was from and asked several times by phone and email. When I finally made the trip there it was explained to me that every vehicle has the city care on it and cost $2495. It was explained to me that they didnt have a market adjustment but rather some services included so they felt better calling it city care rather than market adjustment on all the vehicles. It was disclosed on the addendum to the window sticker but unfortunately I didn't look at it until after I was home. The salesman said he told me about it being on every vehicle even though I told him I didn't want it in the beginning. Apparently, there is no choice. If it had been clear to me, like put on the quote as a separate entry, I may have made a different choice. This is a lot of extra money to put on a cheaper car and increases the loan on the vehicle and the extra may not be compensated in the future value making it affect the value in the future for trade or sale or anything else that could happen. I told them they need to be more transparent about it during the negotiation process and maybe they should call it what it is. I think it needs to be presented as an add-on so that the consumer can make a choice because it was not clear to me that it was mandatory. After I accepted the quote the salesman was presenting the City Care to me so it appeared that I had a choice and I told him no so I was surprised that it ended up in the contract. They need to be more transparent if they are going to operate this way. More
