Own my first Jeep, and went here for my first service for a basic maintenance due message on the dash. Unexpectedly, there was a lot of suggested work to be done including a replacement of the Catalytic c a basic maintenance due message on the dash. Unexpectedly, there was a lot of suggested work to be done including a replacement of the Catalytic converter. They said that the part needed to be paid for upfront to order, and once it was paid for we could schedule that service. So we neither confirmed or denied that service. Upon picking up the car, I explained that I would like to explore talking to the dealership I purchased the Jeep from a couple months prior about this repair. They then proceeded to tell me there would be a restocking fee for the catalytic converter of 20%?!?! A restocking fee of over $800!! I replied, how can there be a restocking fee if we needed to prepay for the part to be ordered? Manager consulted, and apparently they felt it was appropriate that we pay $800 to reject a service they suggested! So if you want to deal with a service center that forces you into expenses you didn’t choose or agree too, this is the place for you. More
